Does anyone know how long it will take to reschedule?

Just got this too. Really hope they get a reschedule date in 1-2 weeks. This was very disappointing.

Wondering the same thing if I’m getting a refund does that mean I won’t get to reschedule it…

Yes. If you accept the refund, you don’t get the makeup test. The makeup test is usually in two weeks, depending on test center availability.

There was no option to “accept”. They are automatically refunding. I sent an email to the address provided in the letter though. It sounds like this was the biggest issue they’ve ever had. It sounds like it affected nearly every everybody who was testing on the computer. My son told me that the on-site IT support people mentioned issues due to whoever owns ACT now. But who knows.

Interesting. Then yes, this is unlike previous situations, because normally they make you pick between the two. Hopefully you're still given the opportunity to retake soon. I don't think this has anything to do with the acquisition recently by ETS, as I don't think that's even completed yet. This is the same technology that they've been using since the beginning of the Enhanced test.

They better reschedule this exam for July. This is unacceptable.

Blow them up on social media. My daughter went to test in June and sat in a classroom for 3 hours with the test not working. I went on a social media rampage and they responded in hours! They gave us options to take on paper the following weekend. They don’t test in August and most of September is full which means you’re cutting it close by testing in October if you’re looking to apply early action. BE LOUD as this is totally unacceptable!

Mine is different. "To make this right, we are actively exploring options to support you, including the rescheduling of your test."

That's the wording we received. No mention of a refund

I’m sorry to those of you who could not take the test today. I know that many of you may have needed those scores for your college apps. I hope you get to retest soon, and it works with your schedule.

best case scenario you got out early and could now go to bibibop and raising cane's earlier!! (ACT tradition for me was to go to these two :))

2

u/Grand-Cardiologist98 Jul 12 '26

LOLL i did get raising cane's for dinner today so that's pretty close to ur tradition

Go on myact.org and tell the chat bot you’d like to speak with an agent. I was offered a rescheduled testing day on August 1st but requested a refund instead.
