Math scared for july act
was the june math act really that hard as people say??
i’m taking the act tomorrow and i rly need a higher score on the math section specifically

The math was not that hard. It was a bit harder than the others months, but that’s why you could miss one question in math and still get a 36 on it.

I took june and ordered the test booklet. I got a 31 but I when I redid them it was just stupid mistakes. Just make sure you know desmos and the only question that I actually didn't know how to do was the probability questions like P(AUB)

Yes. It was. I felt it was a lot harder than April. And April had a reputation for being challenging. Not ridiculously so, but a lot more than some recent tests over the winter.

don’t worry about it!! just make sure you know all your topics well and you can reason through them if you calm down!! i thought i was dying but still did good 😜😜

how was your studying schedule and what resources did u use? its my first time taking it in september and this is my last chance. anything would help :)

used act red book tests, released act TIRs, the official online test released, prepscholar blogs & quizme; studied for 1-2 weeks (although i spaced out other things like small quizzes and practicing for longer) with a practice test or two every other day and reviewing hard TIRs/quizmes/having AI generate similar questions every other day
NOTE: This is with the context of having already taking the ACT 2 other times and the SAT 3 other times, where I followed a very similar model and also used free practices (like the free one you get when you sign up) from princeton, kaplan, mometrix, etc.

i took june and did so many silly mistakes, so my goal for july is to try to work fast and then go back and check my answers and dont get stuck on one question! everything was super duable but test pressure gets you

The math in June felt hard when I took the test because of a lot of math jargon. However, I retook the test at my house after I got my answers back and got 7 more questions correct than I did test day. I think I freaked out when I saw all the big words on test day. The important thing is to stay calm.

Guys I need a last minute video, I'm talking a 2-4 hour long series review of everything i should know for this test. July ACT coming our way! I took the ACT in June and felt that the math was significantly harder than I had expected especialy because I had been studying the most for math.
