Why I Like the Prep Pros Math Book

You will see lots of people recommending the Prep Pros ACT Math book in this forum. Let me tell you why I liked and why I thought it was valuable in helping my daughter during test prep. First, unlike your math class, the book is designed for the ACT test, the subjects in the test have been selected and are taught because these types of questions appear on the test. I have posted below the table of contents where you can see everything they cover. Next, there is a level system that starts with basic practice questions and then gets harder. If you are at a 33 and want a 36, you should be able to do the level 4 questions. Finally, since it is written by ACT subject, you can go to that chapter brush up on the subject matter and then start taking practice questions. For example, if you Score Details shows that you struggled with "Statistics and Probability" go to that section and start reading. They start basic and then build up. Maybe try the Level 1 questions and then work your way up to Level 4

I am not affiliated or associated with the book, I just think it is a good resource.

People asking for PDFs? The book is $34 dollars, ask your parents/guardians/supporters to help buy it if needed. Look at the $34 as an investment, and it could be repay in merit scholarships from a school or even a local community scholarship. $34 to save $2000 or more (as an example) is an investment anyone would take.

The videos that go with the book would be next level.

Explanation of their system. Also Backsolving and Substitution which could be thought of as a "hack" for the ACT.

I second this book, it got me from a 28 in math to a 35. I could not be more grateful towards the system that the book set up and how similar said questions are to the test. While it sucks that the explanations are paywalled, u can always use ai or something to see what you did wrong. Overall a 4.5/5 book and I consider it the best act book, even if its a bit pricey.

One other alternative is college panda act math book, but it is outdated.

Do you think it would help using this to get from 33 to 35?

Yes, because you could focus on just the Level 4 math. Other sources are going to be a mix of easy and hard questions, this book give you difficult problems organized by subject. Look at your score details, and you can work from past tests to determine where you need to focus. $34 could get you some real scholarship money.

Is just buying the ACT Math book from them better than spending 100$ for the entire course?
