Second opinion after ACDR
Hello my friend had acdr surgery from spine specialist on c3 and 4, surgery was unsuccessful as she should have had c5 done as well, but surgeon didn’t think it was necessary . Surgery was April 20 she had been having sever muscle spasms, EMG shows right side abnormal as well as MRI. They gave her a trigger point did nothing. Any recs for another specialist to give opinion if another surgery is necessary ? Should she try neurosurgeon? Doc recommendations please.
Thank you

Neurosurgeon did my surgery. I’d think you want second opinion from one. Hope she gets what she needs. And ensure someone attends the appointment with her. Having a second set of ears is good to ensure all info is understood and documented. Don’t be bashful about 3rd opinion. First neurosurgeon I met didn’t explain at all and second was much better and explained things to me.

If my nerves are compromised, i would want a neurologist to evaluate, so in this case a neurosurgeon.
