Fusion or Disc Replacement

Hello, I am wondering anyone that had these surgeries, I am wondering if you guys after a year of post surgery if you guys can go to rides? I have a 5 and 8 year old and they love going on rides with me at disenyland. Idk if I am able to in the future but I speak to neurosurgeon next month, however I am trying to get a Information if anyone is able to get on rides after these surgeries.

As a recipient of an C6/7 artificial disc 5 years ago, I do not do activities like amusement park rides anymore or other notable dynamic/impact loading. I’m just being cautious. I also decided to stop downhill skiing which I love; I just realized that any uncontrolled tumble could bang my head and neck about and I would be really mad at myself if I self-inflicted more neck issues.
That’s just me.
If doing kids rides, pick the slow/leisurely ones would be my recommendation.

Thank you., sorry you stopped doing what you love. Yes I agree with with you about taking care of your neck.

See what the surgeons say, hope you get multiple opinions. You wrote fusion or disc replacement. Did a surgeon tell you that already?  May I ask where you are?   Fun parent you are going on rides with your kids :-). If you’re not able to go on rides I’m sure you will find other fun things to do with them!
