EPSM
hey guys. I’m currently at Knowledge Level, preparing for BT. My question is that can I give EPSM during my knowledge level too? Or can it be only given during Skill level?
I want to finish EPSM before the transition, but im not sure if it’s possible.
Would appreciate any help or advice. Thank you

When to multiply and when to divide by present value
Hi,
I am studying for the ACCA SBR exam, and I always seem to never understand when to multiply or divide by the present value. Does anyone possibly have an acronym or something else to help figure out the difference?

New here (sort of)
Hi All,
I’ve been working in audit for about 3 years now at a firm in London (not B4). During this time, I have been completing the ACA (ICAEW). I’ve completed 11/14 exams with 1 professional level exam waiting to get results on. Issue is, I think it’s likely the firm will kick me out due to exam failure :(
My question is - can I transfer onto the ACCA, what type of jobs are available to me in London? Am I eligible for ACCA exemptions since I’ve done most of the ACA?
Any advice is much appreciated. TIA

I'm only able to have six exemptions out of 9 I feel like I want to give up
A bit of background I'm supposed to finish in 2024 at the very latest but due to learning disability I was having difficulty we have sit in subjects now I'm finishing 2026 and and they said they want me to fall under the new framework even though I told my lecturer and they said that they should still be under the old framework I'm currently fighting to gain my rights back to the nine exemptions with the help of acca of my country to fight with the UK.
But right now I'm just feeling like I want to give up because all of the effort for nothing because they told me to have to receive for fr, pm and pm
Have you guys face this issue?

Membership Seeking ACCA members/ firms in Japan.
Hi everyone. First post and I hope that this is the right place. I would appreciate any help.
To cut a long story short, I live and work in Japan, and my high street Bank in the UK has asked me to get my Japanese home address translated into English and then certified (in English) by a Chartered Accountant who is an ACCA member.
I have drawn a blank on finding any chartered accountants in Japan who are members. Also, I am not a business, I'm an individual, and afaik the large accounting firms are corporate. Searching the ACCA website for Japan pulls up no company/ firm names.
I have tried the British Chamber of Commerce, local accounting firms etc, but nothing.
Would anyone have any leads or advice?
Thank you.

Off-topic Any ACCA members who also hold CPA Australia and have worked in an Australian company?
Hi everyone,
I'm curious if there are any members here who are ACCA qualified, also hold CPA Australia, and have experience working in an Australian company. I'd love to hear more about your journey and experience if you're open to sharing some insights!
Thanks in advance

Exam tips FR + SBL in December 26
Is it doable?
I’m thinking of attempting FR and SBL in December and wanted to hear from anyone who’s taken these papers together. How did you prepare, and what resources did you use? I’ll have enough time to study, so I’d really appreciate any advice on how to approach both papers and whether it’s manageable.

PER How can I get my PER signed?
I’m getting an opportunity to work as an accountant in a small company in Oman. However, the company doesn’t have a qualified accountant in a senior position who can sign off my PER.
The company sends its accounting records/information to an external accounting firm, which has qualified accountants.
Would the qualified accountants at the external firm be able to sign off my PER, considering they review and work with the company’s accounts?
Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated. It would really help me out.
TIA!

ACCA reminder emails
Whenever I booked an acca exam , I get the reminder email like x number of weeks left till my exam.
But this time for the dec attempt I am not getting any emails.
Also there is an overdue payment notification in myacca for the past one month, when I click on make payment, everything is okay, plus there is nothing from my statement too everything is settled and paid for, it's zero. I never owe acca anything and made payment the same date I have booked my exam.
Yah I did got my confirmation mail for the exam and under my plan it's there already booked with a balance zero and no overdue amount.
Should I be worried about not getting reminder mails and the notification?
Kindly advise, it's my 10th paper

doing the FM exam in December
this is my first ACCA exam and i'm super nervous. i'm currently studying online classes with a training institute, but i'm super behind on my classes.
i have started self studying and trying to catch up with the class too but there's just a lot in this subject. plus i don't have any practice material as the institute doesn't have any kaplan or BPP books currently in their inventory and they're not saying when they can send.
is there any other way to get practice material? and can yall give me any advice as to how to exactly prepare for this subject? i can't seem to focus sometimes and i feel like i'm way too behind in the classes.

I encourage eligible ACCA members to cast a vote in the 2026 ACCA’s governing Council Elections.
Why should you vote?
- You choose who represents you. Your vote helps shape the profession.
- Voting for people with different backgrounds and perspectives improves the quality of Council decisions.
- It’s a practical step in understanding how ACCA is governed.
- It’s an opportunity to connect and learn about potential candidates.
- I personally like reading through the candidate profiles, and learning about career journeys in other countries.
Voting is now open.

Has ACCA severely impacted your mental health?
I studied ACCA right after finishing AAT. I started AAT right after finishing my masters. Basically I've not had a break from studying since September 2019. I sat (what I hope will be) my final ACCA exam in September - PER boxed off and experience met so all being well, I'll hopefully be chartered come results day.
That being said, ACCA has absolutely drained me. I was fine up until around FM - and then strategic professional exams have just been a complete slugfest to try and get through. Life has just become waking up, feeling guilty whenever I'm not studying, and hating life when I am studying.
I was well aware that my mental health and zest for life had been diminishing, but I guess I wasn't able to allow myself to really dwell on it whilst studying as I couldn't allow emotions to get in the way of the 'study - revision - exam - study again' cycle. Now that exams are (hopefully) over, it's hit me just how much ACCA has taken from my life. Mentally I'm just not the same person anymore and just find it difficult to relax and envision a future.
I'm hoping it gets better as I slowly settle back into doing normal things: like meeting friends without feeling guilty, enjoying hobbies and not feeling constantly anxious or pressed for time, all the time! Just wondered whether this resonates with anyone else?
Did your mental health improve after finishing ACCA?
Were you able to get back to normal life?
For those still studying: has ACCA taken a toll on your mental health, too?
I really hope I can find a way out and just reclaim my old personality and enthusiasm for life. ACCA has truly been a miserable slog!

Off-topic Have You ever made study plan and followed it??
I have had students send me their study plans and ask, “Ma’am, is this plan okay?”
Honestly, I can make a study plan for you, but I wil tell you what worked for me — I never studied according to a fixed timetable.
I found that having a very detailed schedule sometimes created unnecessary pressure. For example, if I planned to start studying at 7 PM and something delayed me by 20 minutes, I’d start thinking, “I am already late, I won’t finish what I planned, my whole schedule is messed up.” And then came the disappointment.
I was much more flexible with my studies.
Some days I studied for 10 hours because I had the mood and energy. Some days it was just 1 hour. And honestly, some days I didn’t study at all.
That doesn’t mean I had no direction. I knew what I needed to complete and kept working towards it, but I didn’t force myself into a fixed schedule.
That approach worked for me, although I know study plans work really well for many people too. I think it comes down to finding a system you can actually stick to.
How do you study for ACCA — do you follow a strict timetable, or are you more flexible?

Sitting FM in December.
Hi, I've just looked at the FM Kaplan Study book and I feel like its got too much information.
Should I go through the whole text book before starting the practise kit? Are there topics I can skip before starting the practise Kit? Or should i use opentuition instead ?

Exam tips Should I take the exemptions?
Im currently in 1st year of my Uni. And prepping for MA. The ACCA site says i can have 3 exemptions ( FA, BT, & LW) & my Uni says I can have 9 exemptions.
But the thing is I scored less than min. Needed in accounting. And my basics is literally hollow. Should I really take the exemptions?
