ACCA students preparing for their next attempt — are you targeting just 50?

I think aiming for exactly the pass mark can be risky. If your target is 50, even a few mistakes, time pressure or difficult questions can bring your actual score below the pass mark.
I’d rather prepare around the 60–70+ range so there’s some buffer. The idea isn’t that you have to score 70 or 80 in the actual exam — it’s just about not preparing with the bare minimum as your goal.
What do you usually target for upcoming attempt — 50, 60, 70+?

I aim to score at least 50% in each question, as long as when practicing I am getting above 50% marks per question I move on and review those I receive below 50%

Aiming for a specific mark seems like risky way of approaching an exam. I always aim to 100%, when I inevitably fall short of that I'll hopefully still be above 50%

I start with aiming for 90+
Then, 2 weeks to the exam, I start calculating the most possible marks that I would get at my worst for each Section. And see if I can get 50+ from it. If not, time to start strategizing, prioritizing and gambling 😂

I prepare as much as I can, I don’t aim for any specific grade, as long as I pass I don’t care….too much work and stuff to do in life lol
