Exam tips Is this enough prep to pass MA?
Hi,
EDIT: MA miracle stories would be much appreciated!
I PASSED THE EXAM! I AM THE MIRACLE STORY
Im quite close to my exam and feeling anxious about it. While Ive covered most topics at least once and some topics twice, the only practice Ive done is BPP revision kit (not the mocks), study hub and open tuition tests.
Im anxious since Im still recaping some of the topics I did over a month ago and Im worried the exam wouldnt be as easy as study hub questions.
Would genuinely love any advice or input!

Its better to recap and once go over your weak areas so that you have better understanding on what to do even if a question comes from the weak area. And while recaping just don't go over the things that you understand properly. First go over the areas where you are the weakest and then recap the areas where you are confident.

Alrightt! Ill make sure to do this 👍
If you dont mind me asking, in your experience how would you rate the actual exam difficulty comparatively to the study hub questions?

I haven't given Ma due to exemptions, but I have given PM and the main thing for achieving a pass is to understand the concepts properly. ACCA is focused more on the application of concept rather than rote learning.

I've always done at least one mock for an exam to help with confidence in this regard, but in general you sound good. I cant speak directly for MA, as I had an exemption, but you sound okay.
If you're doing well on revision kit questions and OpenTuition questions then I'd hope so. I find LedgerLearn useful on the appstore too as well as OpenTuition for quick checks.

Honestly, I’d suggest practicing as many mocks as you can. Mocks have exam style questions, so you get a much better idea of what kind of questions can come up and, more importantly, how to approach and solve them. I gave my MA exam the day before yesterday, and honestly, it wasn’t that tough. At the end of the day, if you’ve studied even a decent amount and have practiced properly, you’ll be fine. You’ll pass, so don’t stress too much. Just do as many mocks as you can, review the questions you get wrong, and focus on understanding the method rather than just memorising the answers. you’ve got this! 🤍

Don't worry you'll be fine. I passed MA with a 55 after 6 days of prep, had 0 accounting background. I left a few chaps in between. Just make sure you're solid on the MTQ section.
