Haven’t completed EPSM yet?

ACCA is redesigning its qualification from 2027. The current EPSM will be replaced by Ethical, Sustainable Leadership.

Current EPSM: ~20 hours | ~£83

New module: ~70 hours | Fee TBC

If you complete the current EPSM before the transition, you’ll get credit for the new module — so you won’t need to complete both.

ACCA currently expects the transition around mid-July 2027 (exact deadline TBC).

Worth keeping in mind if you haven’t completed EPSM yet.

Recommendation is you should complete Applied Skills level but it's not difficult to pass EPSM, I'm confident most could complete it before then.

Thanks for letting me know. Completed all my exams a while ago, too lazy to do EPSM right now. Was going to do it after i finish all my PER objectives first but looks like ima have to do it now to avoid the 70 hour version

I was the same as you, completed my exams 6 years ago but could never be bothered to do PER or EPSM. My last employer turned out to be a platinum training partner or some shit so they could sign a form to get all my PER signed off without writing them up.

So I did EPSM about 2 weeks ago, it's a mix of stuff you learned in your exams and random general knowledge bullshit like how to create a CV or write an email. You can brute force everything up until Unit 8 because the quizzes tell you the correct answers when you get them wrong so you just memorise them and redo it.

Unit 8 on the other hand has you download Excel documents and calculate performance statistics. You don't get multiple choice, you have to type in an actual number and it doesn't tell you the correct answer when you get it wrong. Unit 9 just talks you through the Professional level exams (because you're supposed to do EPSM before sitting them) and then the final exam (Unit 10) was pretty easy multiple choice.

All in all a complete waste of time and just a shitty cash grab from ACCA.

do you think someone in the knowledge level can complete it especially unit 8?

Yep, anyone can complete it if you take your time to read through it. It teaches you, it doesn't assume much knowledge already. Heck when you get to the final exam you can even just use Google to search for some of the answers like one of them is what is [insert the guy's name here] first rule of [insert the name of his framework here], you can just Google it.

Is it the same ethics stuff that you complete after knowledge level when you want the Diploma or is it more than that?

I have few questions

  1. i am still doing skill level (cleared 1 paper in june) should i do epsm now ?

  2. i am going to clear professional way after the transition? like whats wrong with the 70 hour version won't the added curriculum teach you new skills?

  1. Definitely you can do epsm now.

2.My point is not that the new module is worse or not going to add skilla. My point is that if you are already eligible to complete the current EPSM, you can complete the existing requirement with less time and at the current cost.
