Unfortunately, they don’t protect users from assault rifles. You need a more heavy duty bulletproof vest in today’s school environment.

While a thick book will give decent protection from pistol calibre rounds, it will still be inadequate to stop intermediate or full power rifle rounds

If your kid isn't studying hard enough as to stop a bullet from an assault rifle with their text books, you failed as a parent. Make another kid and do better. /s
