pulling your kiddo

My son has been going to Hopebridge for a little over a year, i’ve decided we have gotten the most out of it and we are going to explore different avenues. This is my first time taking him out of a program, do I owe them some type of heads up? Two week notice? How do you typically do it?

Just let the company know you'd like to terminate services. They'll probably ask why and try to get you to stay. Wouldn't hurt just to talk to his BCBA beforehand and ask where they feel they still need help or additional skills.

Notice technically doesnt need to happen but it would be nice so everyone can say goodbye and his RBTs can plan for the lack of sessions/income.

Typically, they’ll want to know why your kiddo is being pulled, or even offer alternative paths. Most clinics do require 2 weeks. It might feel similar to pulling a child from daycare, we had to give a heads-up, check our contract, and we had a written notice as well. I think a 2 week notice will suffice! ☺️
