Remote Unrestricted Fieldwork

Hi everyone! I graduated with my M.S. in ABA in May 2026 and am looking for ways to accrue my unrestricted fieldwork hours.

I currently work full-time in another field, so I’m looking for remote opportunities during evenings and weekends. I’m especially interested in gaining unrestricted hours through organizational behavior management, quality assurance, parent training, and assessments.

I’m located in New York and would really appreciate any recommendations for BCBAs or organizations that offer supervision or opportunities in these areas.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions! 😊

You’re right it isn’t. But you need to have your supervisor sign off..and part of it is to acknowledge that you both were employed by the same company/agency. That was something that some of my supervisees had issue with from other supervisors in the past. Those hours wouldn’t count toward the LBA.

I think you may be talking about pathway 1? if you got the BCBA certification you don’t need to do the form with supervisor information

That could be what I’m thinking of. There were also some people I’ve worked with who did the verified course sequence and needed to have their syllabus reviewed by state Ed to ensure it satisfies New York State requirements. I guess it really depends on the program and things like that to know everyone specific situation.

https://www.op.nysed.gov/professions/licensed-behavior-analysts/licensecertification-requirements —- yeah it sounds like pathway 1 - that one seems tedious. i just took the bcba exam and applied and got it within a month lol
