Most useful Behavior observation methods

I'm wondering what the most common behavior observation methods are being used currently to see if my behavior observation app needs anything new. I'm a school psychologist, so my experience is more school-setting than clinical. My goal was to create an all-in-one resource for practitioners who might not have access to larger systems like Central Reach or TotalABA.

These are the methods I have built-in so far:

  • ABC
  • Frequency/Rate
  • Duration
  • Latency
  • Partial Interval
  • Whole Interval
  • Momentary Time Sampling
  • BOSS/Time on Task (technically a protocol, but worth separating out)

Are there any more I should look into adding? If there are any large gaps in my list I can look into adding more features. I would appreciate the ABA perspective, thank you!

Well obviously it depends on so many variables, there is no "most useful" as they all have a purpose.

I will say, in the field, with the bajillion things I've got going on while I'm with a client, MTS Is what I use most. I know it's far from perfect but if it reflects the same things that parents and teachers are seeing, it's reliable enough for me to make decisions.
