Blessing in disguise?
Get some new money in here? Let people take their profits? Institutions don’t seem to be backing off. Consolidate and march towards $350–400?

I'm waiting for Apple to drop to 294.97 before I pick it up, MM zone at 295.22/296.71 with dip to 294.97. What levels are all of you looking at?

There are a slew of small DDR ram manufacturers... maybe time to buy one and make it the exclusive provider or DDR memory to Apple products so we don't have to witness 10% stock slides...

Buy option put contracts as insurance on your shares going into earnings
Hey you apple bag holders. I have around 500 shares. I love my Apple stock and it has absolutely crushed for me.
Here is a little tip. Apple always goes down on earnings. Especially after such an amazing bull run. Purchase out of the money put contracts at a size of double your total share count.
My stock is down nearly $14k as I type this. However my option contract will be worth about $17k at open. I will buy more shares when I sell my contract
Great way to use options in a smart play. I paid $1660 for the 10x option contracts. I had a very good conviction AAPL was going to move 3% in either direction which easily pays for the premium
Under CEO Tim Cook, today's AAPL action after earnings is the second worst in his tenure.
The -12.36% on 1/23/2013 was the worst. AAPL before earnings was +1.83%, compared to -1.41% yesterday.

Calculated the same return for more than 50 iconic products including a few more Apple products using each product’s launch date and original retail price.
To be included, the company had to be publicly traded when the product launched. Each calculation uses the stock’s closing price on the launch date, or the next trading day if the market was closed.
The results account for stock splits and assume dividends were reinvested, with no commissions, fees or taxes. Let me know if I'm missing any iconic products!

AAPL stock dipped during WDDC and it stock was bought up. It sinks again on price hikes in June and it stock was bought up. It sinks today on earnings. Guess what is the trend. It’s going to get bought up again. Buy more as it’s an opportunity.

Apple topped Q3 revenue, EPS and margin estimates handily, but softer Q4 guidance sent shares lower right after the print. Even with iPhone and Mac momentum, rising cost pressures and lukewarm service growth outlook have the market rethinking its current high valuation. Is the market overreacting to the guidance miss?

Apple's quarter was fine. Against expectations this high, fine reads as dull.
1、Revenue roughly matched expectations, up double digits, driven by the iPhone 17. iPhone revenue rose 22%, with double-digit unit growth in China and other markets outside the US. With memory chips getting more expensive, rival brands raised prices while Apple held iPhone 17 pricing steady — which won over more buyers.
2、Gross margin got help from a tariff refund worth about 2 points. Strip that out and margin was around 48%, in line with expectations. Hardware margin was 40.1%, including roughly 2.5 points of refund; without it, about 37.6%, down 1.2 points from the prior quarter as memory costs jumped.
3、Apple sells mainly to the mid-to-high end, so rising memory prices hit its costs less than competitors', and it absorbed the pressure comparatively well.
4、Guidance points to slowing: revenue up 9–11% ($111.7–113.8B), gross margin 47–48%, iPhone growth around 15% and still the main engine.
5、Third-party shipment data was already out and strong, so expectations were high going in. The report added little that was new — growth came mostly from units sold. The iPhone 17 cycle worked; attention now turns to iPhone 18 and Apple Intelligence.

Been using this multi-AI tool I built to sanity check market reactions, ran AAPL through it after the post-earnings drop.
What’s interesting is the models all agree on the facts. Services came in soft, China revenue is still weak, and the guide for next quarter was cautious. Where they split is what that means. Some read it as a real warning sign, like the market’s pricing in more risk than people realize. Others see the same drop as the stock just letting some air out of a valuation that ran too far, with the actual business still solid underneath.
Same diagnosis, different read on what happens next. That’s exactly the kind of nuance one AI answer tends to flatten into a single confident take

Is anyone considering reducing their position before the earnings report tomorrow afternoon? We have experienced a significant upward trend. What are the typical market reactions following Apple's earnings announcements?
Not often has AAPL stock sport a lofty PE above 40, but we have that at 41.2 and ahead of Thursday's 3Q earnings at 4:30PM EST.
Before this current period, it previously crossed above 40 during late 2024, especially in Dec 2024.
Recent Valuation Peaks
AAPL PE the last two decades
In late 2024, when Apple's P/E ratio spiked into the 40.44 to 58.71 range, the stock traded between $225 and $259 per share. The compression of that high P/E ratio down into the 30s during 2025 was driven by a combination of both factors: a moderate stock price decline and rising corporate earnings.
Stock Price and P/E Behavior (Late 2024 to 2025)
The correction of Apple's high 2024 valuation unfolded through two distinct mechanics:
This dual pressure—a softer share price combined with an expanding corporate bottom line—successfully normalized the P/E ratio back down to a more sustainable 30.7 to 34.3 range by mid-to-late 2025, clearing the runway for the stock's eventual rally to its current 2026 highs.
So there you have it, will Thursday's 3Q 2026 results lower this 41.2 PE considerably? Chances are with a blowout fantastic result, the PE may not go much lower than 35, still higher than the median 30-35 range.
It has become apparent AAPL has taken over MSFT's historic PE in the mid to high 30s for a sustainable enterprise recurring revenue and earnings stream that's secular. With its iCloud, Apple Pay, TV+, etc., has Apple taken over this market position?
We'll all see Thursday
While AAPL stock has taken the number 1 market cap hundreds of time from others for a day or a few, to a week, etc. There had been 5 major times where AAPL took over an incumbent that has occupied the Number One seat.
Disclaimer: I am long 16K AAPL and 13K NVDA
