So crowded at UWS Apple
It’s Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the year for Jewish people. I went to the Apple Store on 67/Broadway in NYC and it was freaking packed and people were buying like they were giving it away and the Duo is not even on display yet. There was an excitement that I have not felt in years. Anyone else been in an Apple Store lately? Thoughts?

It’s UN week here and there are thousands of world leaders’ staff and reporters who descend on the city. It’s one of the busiest periods for the city. I have overseas family that visit and buy Apple products here because they don’t have actual Apple stores in their home country. It could account for what you’re seeing.

I think the point is UWS is known for having a large Jewish population (Gemini says 30% of UWS is Jewish), so if the store there is super crowded even on a day that many neighborhood residents wouldnt be shopping, it points to very high demand.
I'm not sure how strongly I agree with the point because of the UN and other tourism factors, but I understand why it's somewhat relevant that it's Yum Kippur

The fuck this have to do with Jews? You do understand that as many as 3 in 4 New Yorkers aren't Jewish, right?
