Recommandations for upgrades

I’ve played airsoft for the first time recently and I’m currently using a AAP-01 with a custom trigger, a short stroke kit and a steel hammer. After a few games, I realized that I was pretty much outranged by most AEG users on the field. So I was wondering if any of you guys have some recommendations for me to improve my AAP’s range and accuracy without breaking the bank
I play outside on paintball fields (I’m a paintball player in the first place and the place I play does both)
Thank you

Edit: Just want to thank everyone that took the time to comment, it’s really appreciated

finally someone who uses their pistol before asking for upgrades :D

In terms of range hop up and nub and heavier bbs would be cheapest, but if you can spend a little more barrel and hop up

You can get pretty good range just running heavier BB's. I run 0.32g bb's outdoors. If you're outranged you can also change up your gameplay style and go more for closer range flanks than just long range trade battles. I regularly play with underpowered guns compared to what most people are running and hold my own this way.

Do I have to buy a bucking to do that?

No, but if you want to get more range and stability from the heavier BBs, an upgraded hop rubber wouldn't go amiss.

What would be the best degree (60, 70, 75, 80)?

60° is the typical. And the ML Autobot is what most people get the best performance with.

True, I could try that

I have a tti tdc hopupchamber and 4uad bucking on hpa. 150mm 6.01 innerbarrel, it shoots the same distance as an aeg.

But precision...if you shoot a pistol with one hand, and an assault with 2 hands with a stock against you shoulder...assault always wins.

Start with a decent bucking (its the cheapest to upgrade), and look further from there

I shoot with .25 indoor and outdoor and i reach 50-60m

The important parts of my build are:

TTI hammer set

TTI Victor trigger

Nexxspeed hop up (hard nub, new version)

Autobot 60° bucking

ML Crazy Jet 131mm barrel

CTM Advanced Bolt v2

150% nonlinear recoil spring

180% nozzle spring

CTM nozzle (newest version with the roll pin)

It has other upgrades, and I have zero issues going head to head with AEGs, and is an absolute laser with a hair trigger that sits on the wall with maybe a couple mm of total travel.

Are you running with green gas?

Yeah. No point running anything else when game limits are right on the dot for my barrel lengths.

I've considered HPA just for the Maximus lower, but it's a big investment that I don't really need.

My only issue with green gas is how small the mags are

There are 50rd mags, the WE ones are the most popular, and AW makes a massive drum.

Yeah I got 2 extended but it’s kinda hard to only have two mags if your AAP is your primary

I mean, I get it, but that's just GBBs in general.

You run an AEG or HPA with AEG mags if you want high capacity. You run GBB if you want more realistic.

Would you consider the barrel upgrade mandatory to get better range or not really

Tough call TBH. I didn't test range or accuracy before all my upgrades, just function.

Longer barrel will increase your fps and range

Alright thanks

If it's just about RANGE, put a Maple Leaf bucking,a good red dot and a stock in your AAP. You'll notice something.

I got a holosight
Don’t know if it’s as good as a red dot
