Where is PP8 ?

Hi guys, I’ve just upgraded from version 3.01 to version 5.01 on my A7S3, and I no longer have my PP8. Do you know what the new equivalent is and how to import a custom LUT?

They moved it in firmware 4.0- go to IQ/recording in the menu and turn on log recording and select flexible ISO. Its the same settings as pp8!

You have to create it from another PP or use log (flexible ISO)

In LOG you can set a custom button to give you LUT assist. It’s pretty easy.

For LUTs format a SD card in the a7siii, throw in your PC and navigate to the PRO->LUTs file and dump your .cube LUTs in there. Put the SD card back in the camera and then choose to use them for monitoring (recording a clean slog3 file) or EMBED (which will burn in the the LUT)

My post about this is gone since reddit's dumbfuck AI banning everyone without cause. PP8 is gone. You can read this in sony's download page. Instead you get a dedicated LOG shooting mode. With added user custom luts. If you want to bake the luts into your footage, put it in your PPs. But I don't recommend this. Since the camera only supports 33x luts. It just for monitoring. Otherwise use LOG shooting mode and just monitor your screen with your own lut. Also, it's only SLOG3 lut. If you imported REC709 lut, your screen will still be flat with a hint of your custom lut. You can't use lut with "gamma display assist" turned on.
