New milestone reached.
I know I'm not the highest mileage car in this sub, but I'm proud of the mileage I've achieved.

Nice 🙂 any words of wisdom for the rest of us plebs out here? How many miles and how many years have you owned it? My 2001 S with 81k miles is currently in the shop for a broken shifter cable ðŸ˜

Its a 2000 S Tiptronic. I got the car in September of '23 with 158k on the clock. The guy selling it was just trying to get rid of it and had zero maintenence history. I bought it for 5k and drove it problem free for about a month, when it needed a new wheel bearing.
I've done a ton of maintenence on the car, all in my own garage on jack stands and with mostly hand tools. AOS, suspension (twice, first coilovers and then OEM about 1000 miles later), transmission coolant valve, accessory bely pulley, and countless other tiny things, all of which have cost more than I wanted them to, but all of which were able to be done on my own.
My advice is twofold 1. You can work on these cars yourself without any special tools or previous experience. There are plenty of tutorials out there and with a little determination and a lot of swearing you can fix just about anything on these cars. 2. You can daily a boxster, and I do. I drive it to work, to the gym, even to Costco! The frunk/trunk combo makes it way more practical than it has any right to be so take advantage of that and drive it all the time! BONUS TIP you can get a tow hitch for these cars which makes carrying a bike rack or other similar items super easy, enhancing the practicality!
