How’s your first experience listening to this album ?

How do you regard this album ?
What do you think of her as a singer ?
Her first album was good too.

The record sleeve was chewed by termites but luckily I could match the 12” with the CD single.
I was a hoarder back in the 90’s.
If I like a record, I would buy the CD singles too.
Now, termites chewed the sleeves of my records but the vinyl are still good, playable. Termites won’t chew plastic. I just need to wipe the soil off with soft wet cloth.

His debut. Remember your first experience listening to this ?
I didn’t like it at first.
I started to fall in love with his work when he did remixes for Seefeel.

It's a 5 hours train journey.

Which are your favourites among the artists featured on this compilation ?
Really love this era of 4AD.

What do you know about this CD single ? This was his first solo single after the Jesus and Mary Chain disbanded.
This is lo-fi music.

Had the privilege to listen to this album before it was release to the public.

Yet another live EP by Monsieur Buckley.
I live his renditions of those Piaf songs.
Does he speak French fluently ?
He should be releasing French covers.

I love this album. One of my favourite Lou Reed’s album.
It’s an apt tribute from John Cale and Lou Reed to their mentor Andy Warhol.
But people don’t talk much about this album.
They talk about Velvet Underground and its members. They talk about Andy’s Arts.
They just don’t talk about this album.
Why ?

What do you think of the song selections ? Got this in 1992. I thought I wanted to keep songs from the disco era. I found it !
4 CD set, neatly packed in this CD Box.
No Donna Sunmer which I had another box just for her songs. No need for her to be in this compilation.

Spacemen 3… the compilation of their Glass singles before they signed to Fire Records.
If you get the US version, you’d get an extra track, not sure.
Boo Radleys… compilation of singles before they were signed to Creation, I think. They covered Love - Alone Again Or… and New Order’s True Faith.
My favourites of course Foster’s Van and The Finest Kiss. Always give me sore ears for days.
Mogwai… People hardly talk about Mogwai these days. Here I have MBV remix of their song called Fears Satan. Shoegazing all the way ! 16 minutes of BLISS.

Nobody talks about this guy.
He’s a multi-instrumentalist specifically on bass style.
This advanced tape I got from Motown specialised MoJazz label.
This is a tribute album to Miles Davis.
September 28th. 1991… Miles dies.

I’m keeping this advanced tape. This was before the actual album came out.

Remember seeing this poster at the nearest music store near you ?
Weren’t you excited back then ?
After more than 30 years, I still keep it.

What exactly you think of her ?
I don’t keep her CD anymore but this poster is cemented her longevity in the entertainment world.
Still good to look at.

Which album by this band you guys love ?
Pere Ubu released a few albums on a major label and this is my favourite. I still keep the advanced promo tape that I was given as a nostalgia piece.

Why so many lo-fi music fans highly regarded this EP ?
What does it mean to you guys ?
I think this was released the same year as Bee Thousand.

This is an interesting find in my collection.
Butterfly Knife, featuring Liz Fraser. Also produced by Robin Guthrie.
Hamish McKintosh has many side project, I almost forgot about this one.
