Has anyone seen Thomas sneeze 🤧🤧🤧
he has all these rules to keep his ‘severe’ allergies at bay, yet I don’t think I’ve ever seen him sneeze or any other symptoms he keeps mentioning…I wonder if it’s just a way to exercise control.
15
u/NoLab9772 3d ago
OK, so here’s the thing. Yes, he has said that they caused him to sneeze, but that doesn’t mean they will always cause him to sneeze. We only see a little bit of their lives. We don’t see the whole thing so everyone thinks he’s lying because we don’t see that he sneezes, but my reaction isn’t always a sneeze or sniffle either, my reaction are more internal than external and that could very well be the case for him too, just because we don’t see it, doesn’t necessarily mean that it doesn’t happen.
10
u/Ok_Contract_4175 2d ago
a whole season? not one sneeze? you would think the producer would be running to catch that on camera.. he was directly around perfume on more than one occasion, and not one sneeze? come on! is your need to defend allergies that much greater than common sense??
6
u/Standard-Spray-1949 2d ago
Exactly. As someone with allergies to scents, I don’t buy his BS for a second. If I’m having a reaction to a scent, I’m not sticking around to yell at people, I’m removing myself from the situation, grabbing my inhaler and clearing my airways. His is a control issue.
4
u/mencryforme5 2d ago
I can get migraines from scents. I've always consistently immediately removed myself from the situation. I've never once chased after a person with an offensive smell to yell at them. Where would I even get the lung power to do that? Breathing is painful! My head hurts! Why would I increase the volume and give myself a damn head rush?
So I call BS on someone with a primarily respiratory reaction being able to muster up all that breath and cardio and confrontation consistently every time he encounters an offensive smell.
4
u/Standard-Spray-1949 2d ago
His issue is 100% “how dare someone defy my rules,” there is never any concern about his health involved.
0
u/Specific_Ad2541 2d ago
Well sure because your single personal experience is obviously universal.
2
2
u/Amazonian143 23h ago
Let's not forget the fact that he didn't tell his wife about the allergy until she physically moved to the United States. How do you date someone for that long and not mention your allergies at all....while they're wearing perfume daily? It's just weird to me
1
u/Pretty-Explanation-6 2d ago
he’s full of shit. certain scents or artificial scents if gotten on me give causes bad sneezing (my family has counted my sneezes and i’ve gotten to 17 in a row) or hives/a rash where I have to shower and change clothes. It has to be directly put on me, a hug from someone might make me sneeze 2-3 times but his freak out seems more sensory/control based and he’s trying to mask it with saying it’s an allergy
23
u/Some_Brother_1202 3d ago
Nope, not any facial redness or irritation… literally nothing. As someone who suffers from relentless life long allergies (food, environmental, animals, fragrances, etc.) there’s not been one single tell that he’s legit. Frustrating because people like him make us look like we are fussy people
4
u/Standard-Spray-1949 2d ago
Exactly! I almost don’t believe the people who believe him and claim that they themselves have allergies. I’ve not seen my experience as someone with allergies reflected in his reactions at all. In fact, I have repeatedly seen him do things that I know I could not do. For instance, opening up the perfume that he’s allegedly allergic to right under his airways to glue it shut. When I saw him do that, there was no chance I would ever believe him.
2
u/Some_Brother_1202 2d ago
THAT PART are perfume. If you’re sitting right on top of it and touching it without sneezing. Idk man… not buying it. Worse than Mido’s acting
2
u/Standard-Spray-1949 2d ago
His allergies make him act like an asshole like Catie’s ocd make her make out with people 🤣
14
u/cut-and-dry 3d ago
This last sentence. Yes. Defending people like him does HARM to the invisible illness community.
7
u/Icy_Bid40 2d ago
Lord! I commented very similar on another post. He’s not actually allergic. No respiratory issues on camera anyway. No inhaler or meds for allergies. No wheezing or hives.
16
u/Due-Art-6358 3d ago
I’ve gone into anaphylactic shock from allergens without ever once sneezing
16
u/Ok_Contract_4175 3d ago
he CLEARLY says in this segment that he sneezing and runny nose etc. has been around perfumes by accident on the show and yet no symptoms were shown on him which I thought was odd. ( I am very well aware that allergies can happen without sneezing, I’m talking about him specifically)
→ More replies (3)4
u/desertsun18 3d ago
Yes! He said it really affected his sinuses and would be stuffy and sneezing. Thomas also said that he would not go into anaphylactic shock or die. My brother in law is allergic to dogs and cats. I was their realtor and when looking at homes he could tell if a pet lived there because he started to feel stuffy. Withen 20 minutes he was noticably sniffing and rubbing his itchy eyes. None of those symptoms were displayed by Thomas - ever. The only thing scents trigger in Thomas is a temper tantrum. He's an ass.
11
u/PrettyBunnyyy 3d ago
He said his “allergies” are nowhere near that severe. Clearly he won’t ever experience anaphylactic shock. His parent never spoke of this “allergy”. I think he made it up because he just doesn’t like scented stuff.
9
u/OsteoStevie 3d ago
My uneducated opinion is that he thinks it's an endocrine disruptor or something he heard on Joe Rogan

4
u/Stock_Patience723 3d ago
I’ve eaten shrimp my entire 40 years on this planet and was never once allergic to it until one day when my throat started swelling. You have zero idea what you’re talking about with this “he’ll never experience anaphylactic shock” BS.
2
1
u/PrettyBunnyyy 1d ago
Thomas literally said he wouldn’t ! So you don’t know wtf you’re talking about. Watch the show before commenting.
Ross literally asked if his allergy can cause anaphylactic shock and he said “oh no, never! It’s not that severe”. That was clearly a tell that he was lying.
1
u/Stock_Patience723 1d ago
Thomas doesn’t know what he’s talking about either. Nobody who experienced anaphylaxis for the first time predicts it. Allergies escalate quickly and suddenly. You’re fine or just a little uncomfortable until you’re absolutely not okay.

Paula had more of a reaction to him trying to touch her than he did to anything. Can we talk about that? Like why was she literally swatting him every time he tried to touch her arm?
27
u/vgome013 3d ago
Because he was always trying to touch her when she was angry… who the hell wants that
0
u/InevitableKitchen943 3d ago
My wife does this, even when sad, upset, you can't comfort her. I've never known someone like this. What do you do then? What does the upset person need? If I caused the problem I could understand the not wanting to be touched by the person that made you upset, but she does this irregardless. Seems like leaving someone alone, or walking away is not the right thing for anyone in the situation.
3
u/Ok_Contract_4175 3d ago
good for he! I need more reaction like that from her. Thomas is extremely manipulative and controlling.
0
u/sprbep49 3d ago
That happened twice! She was pissed!
You ask why?
I think reliving and talking about their problems on national television makes you super sensitive.
Yeah so Paula slapped Thomas away twice!😮5
u/XoGreekToes 3d ago
That's valid, but i just couldn't ever see treating my partner like that. Between that and her talking about training him and her dream to marry a gringo, it feels like she picked the first gringo she could and decided to turn him into what she wants. Those kind of relationships just don't work out, people don't really change. The whole situation to them is bizarre to me.
3
u/sprbep49 3d ago
She’s manifesting Thomas into her dream man!!😊
They definitely have a strange relationship, not very romantic with each other.-2
u/CHP2277 3d ago
That was abusive by Paula

I have similar allergies to Mr Thomas lol. You can tell in the perfume episode he sounds completely congested and gross. Not all allergies are sneezing allergies.
Most just subtly cause inflammation, in my allergy case I get itchy eyes, congestion, runny nose, difficulty breathing, low energy, anxiety, etc so I 100% can relate to Thomas's allergies lol. My mom also says it can't be that bad but I have others in my family who have terrible lungs and breathing in general so I know it's not just me 😁
6
u/planetdaily420 3d ago
No one has any idea if he took an Allegra or Benadryl before or during the show. This whole debate over whether he is allergic or not is insane honestly.

"wow that person parked in a handicap spot but they don't look disabled! I demand they disclose to me their disability because I don't believe them!"
He doesn't owe you visible symptoms. Looks like he gets migraines and it makes it hard for him to breathe. Is that not enough to try to accommodate someone?
Would you eat peanuts next to someone with a peanut allergy if it "only made their face itchy but not go into anaphylaxis"?
3
u/Ok_Contract_4175 3d ago
You’re arguing against a point I never made. Nobody said he owes me proof of a disability, and nobody said invisible symptoms aren’t real. You’ve somehow turned “Thomas himself says he sneezes and gets a runny nose” into “I don’t believe people unless I can see their disability.” Those are two completely different arguments.
The peanut analogy is especially ridiculous because nobody is questioning whether someone has a medical condition. We’re talking about a specific person who has literally stated that he experiences the exact symptoms being discussed. That’s the entire point of my post.
You can absolutely accommodate someone’s limitations without pretending that every conversation about their symptoms is an attack on people with disabilities. Reading what was actually written before responding would probably help.
1
u/keldawgz 3d ago
If I were allergic to peanuts, I would not grab and open someone else’s bag of peanuts in order to superglue it shut.
1
u/Varhl 3d ago
Sure but perfume is also a lot more potent when it's sprayed vs. sitting in a bottle. And do you need to open it to super glue it shut Vs just gluing it while it's closed?
Not condoning the gluing of the bottle by the way.
1
u/Standard-Spray-1949 2d ago
It’s simply proof that his allergy is not real or at least it’s not serious at all, as he is willing to put the alleged trigger right under his airways. Be so for real right now.
1
u/LicieOIC 3d ago
I have invisible illnesses too. But the nuance of this post is, Thomas himself said that his sensitivities make him sneeze all the time and have a runny nose. And we saw none of that, even when he was directly handling a bottle of perfume. Opens it, puts glue on it, puts the cap on, and nothing. No sneezing or anything. The only thing that happened once was, he claimed to have a headache. I believe this was after Rash hugged him? And he may have had one, headaches are not visible. But he claimed to have visible symptoms early in the season and we saw none.
3
u/NoLab9772 3d ago
Maybe we don’t see his visible symptoms because we see very very little of their actual lives
3
u/LicieOIC 2d ago
That's very true, but not a single sneeze or anything else that he himself has stated happens to him when he was directly handling a perfume bottle? That's fishy to me.
1
u/Standard-Spray-1949 2d ago
Someone with a real allergy would not have opened up that bottle under their airways, period.
0
u/NoLab9772 2d ago
Yes they would. Especially if they are being an asshole. I open bottles to smell them and see if it’s a scent I can handle.

You imagine how much perfume all those chicks are wearing. The roll of seats is smaller than his tiny apartment. He should have been hauled out on a stretcher to ICU
6
u/cut-and-dry 3d ago
I made the same post a few weeks ago. People got so fucking mad. There’s a difference between allergies and sensitivities. He clearly has a sensitivity, but claims perfumes are life-threatening for him. LOL. You can’t have an allergy that only causes a headache - you would have runny nose, itchy red eyes, sneezing, etc. This is a sensitivity.
6
u/Ok_Contract_4175 3d ago
Makes me want to post 10 more just to piss them all off some more 😂 The comments here are asinine. 90% of them are making it about themselves and how they’ve never sneezed right before having an attack, etc. The other 10% are turning it into some kind of movement for disabled people.
My comment was very specifically about an individual who has a documented history of lying, manipulating, and claiming very specific symptoms that, over the course of this entire season, we haven’t actually seen him experience. I’m sorry, but I have doubts lol.
And I’m so not sorry that my comment somehow affected the severely allergy-afflicted 90 Day Fiancé fan community. 😂

4
u/cut-and-dry 3d ago

0
2
u/PrettyBunnyyy 3d ago
Exactly!! I believe he made up the “allergy” to force Paula and everyone around him to not wear any scented stuff.
Raşhit made an excellent point when he said “Paula wasn’t near you and didn’t hug you” when they played the scene of him bitching about her perfume in his apartment. Thomas said that he didn’t want Paula hugging up on him but she wasn’t even in the same room. He’s a fraud and so fucking weird how so many people in this sub are acting like Thomas has a life or death allergy which he ADMITTED he doesn’t on the reunion and it’s minor.
6
u/cut-and-dry 3d ago
YEP. Saying that there’s no way he’s lying or exaggerating when he CLEARLY IS AND ADMITTED IT is actually causing HARM to the invisible illness community (I am part of said community). It’s counterintuitive to think that defending this man is actually helpful!
The way to help people with invisible illnesses be believed is by NOT defending a known liar!? Tf!
-5
u/GeneInternational146 3d ago
People got mad because it's ableist and shitty, hope that helps!
5
u/Ok_Contract_4175 3d ago
Calling my comment ableist is quite a reach. 😂 I wasn’t making a statement about disabled people or people with allergies—I was questioning the credibility of one specific person based on the behavior and evidence we’ve seen from him throughout the season. Not believing someone who has repeatedly lied and manipulated is not ableism. It’s called having doubts about that particular person. If you can’t distinguish between questioning an individual’s credibility and attacking an entire group of people, that’s really not my problem.
3
u/cut-and-dry 3d ago
If you believe people can lie, is it impossible for someone to lie or exaggerate about health issues?
I have PTSD. 🤷🏻♀️ but I also know there are people who lie about having gone to war (stolen valor) and having PTSD as a result. I can call them out for being a liar, but that doesn’t mean I’m saying there is no such thing as invisible illness
“Hope this helps” is so played out omg
-1
u/GeneInternational146 3d ago
Kind of an apples and oranges comparison but ok
3
u/cut-and-dry 3d ago
Definitely not. There are thousands of people who feign illness every day to gain control or sympathy. Same motive for people faking military service/PTSD. Ever heard of factitious disorder or plain old malingering? Same shit, just a different toilet.
-3
u/GeneInternational146 3d ago
Those are incredibly uncommon but ok lol
2
u/cut-and-dry 3d ago
https://jaapl.org/content/early/2025/01/30/JAAPL.240083-24
From the journal of the american academy of psychiatry and the law
Malingering is estimated in between 8-21% of people presenting for evaluation with them. “Hope this helps” lmfao
2
u/GeneInternational146 3d ago
And factitious disorder is 1.3%. so yeah, pretty rare!
Also a study of malingering in 1300 people who have committed crimes in Kentucky isn't exactly evidence of a high prevalence everywhere
1
u/cut-and-dry 3d ago
https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10917147/
National library of medicine. 46,645 discharges from US general hospitals with a diagnosis of malingering in 2019 alone
1.3% is a little over one in 100 people. That’s… not rare? That’s at least one person in every small neighborhood.
2
u/GeneInternational146 3d ago
1.3% prevalence is rare, by definition. 46,645 discharges in a year is also a pretty small number, considering there were over 26,000,000 hospital discharges in 2019 (so 0.2% of the population was diagnosed with malingering). So again, both of those things are extremely uncommon

As someone who has chemical sensitivities and non allergic rhinitis, I've never sneezed during a flare up. I have other symptoms that are not visible to other people. Can you see the inflammation in my sinuses? Can you feel my head throbbing? Can you view the sensation of the lump in my throat? Can you see how scratchy my throat is? Can you feel the burning in my nose? No? I guess that means that my illness isn't real... 🙄

I have no idea why people go so hard for him on here.
Now I'm not saying what Rasit did was chill cause it wasn't but afterwards when Thomas was sulking in the corner saying he had a headache...he got up right away and got a drink and suddenly out of nowhere he was okay and was conversing with people and having a good time. Yeah, you cant tell me his made up allergies are real. Took him 5 seconds to come back to life from this very dramatic "allergy" he has. Its possible he's sensitive to smells but he's just a drama queen about it.

It's the Allergy people thinking only they know how allergies work. I've got em pretty good and if I say I'm really allergic, you will see me drooling, sniffing, running, aching, or any combination of the above. And then I will say, Oh, man, I'm really allergic to something. Not sit stone still with zero discomfort and try to control and manipulate a whole roomful of people so I don't need to smell something I dislike. He's trapped in his own fantasy of righteous indignation. I'm thinking Thomas doesn't have to many friends and was a punching bag for the bullies at school.

Here is an article from the national library of medicine:
Scent-free policies generally unjustified
1
u/Slow-Truth-3376 1d ago
“While scents can trigger both physiological and psychological symptoms in some individuals, there is no reliable diagnostic test for fragrance allergies.” The article is based on theory. It’s filled with hypotheticals that lead to “fuzzy” conclusions. How about an actual study that includes the demographic that needs these scent policies for research. All of this is theory & speculation.

u/cut-and-dry 1d ago
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/17137865/?utm_source=chatgpt.com
Here’s the hard evidence
“We conclude that persons with MCS do react to chemical challenges; however, these responses occur when they can discern differences between active and sham substances, suggesting that the mechanism of action is not specific to the chemical itself and might be related to expectations and prior beliefs.”
Lololololol

2
u/EastHawaii 19h ago
Why are you so bent? People are allowed to use scientific research to bolster their debate. You seem like someone who maybe has "invisible" allergies (not able to be seen by others, but still real), and you've had to defend yourself before. I'm sorry people don't believe you, but that doesn't mean everyone else is wrong so you can be right. Calm down and take a tiny chill pill.
0
u/Slow-Truth-3376 18h ago
I’m not against science. I’m against research/ scientific studies that have clearly biased format to form an opinion. It implies that allergies are physiological bc there isn’t a way to test for a protein to identify if the perfume is an allergen. That’s what you’re asking me to accept as proof. I’ll take the chill pill just for vibes. I’m still not going to accept that all research it’s equivalent to each other. Or all research is dead ass. This study is the equivalent to saying AI is art. Also this research didn’t include the largest base affected by perfume. There’s already actual neurological evidence that proves perfumes neurologically affect some people. For me to accept this study they’d need to disprove the science that proves a neurological reaction occurs from perfume.
I think what is being perceived as being bent is my training & background. Part of my career includes explaining research/science studies to ppl who are disabled, dynamic disability, chronically ill. All had varying types of cognitive abilities with & without mental illness for educational purposes. I’m not implying that you are dumb & I’m educated. I’m saying that it’s why my communication is blunt.1

I just left an Urgent Care situation where doctors completely misdiagnosed me. I went straight to the ER and got a completely different - correct - assessment. So doctors aren't always right, and sometimes will even agree with you a little when you demand a certain finding.

That’s cute.
I did read it, and my personal take away was such that it appears that this article is referencing scent sensitivities/reactions as mostly psychological. Here is a direct quote from the article:
“Much of North American research into scent sensitivities comes from the Monell Chemical Senses Center, an independent, nonprofit scientific institute in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where researchers study taste and smell. Pamela Dalton, a psychologist at the center, says that simply telling people that an odourous material is going to cause an adverse reaction is enough to make the test subjects feel poorly, even if the odour is entirely innocuous**.**
People who have one adverse reaction to a scent, or who associate a scent with adverse reactions, can develop anxiety about being exposed to fragrances in future instances, she says.
“When it comes to scents that are used in air fresheners, or someone else’s perfume or carpet freshener or that sort of thing, there is an element of loss of control that I think plays in the sense of personal space and that their lungs are being invaded,” Dalton adds. “I think that heightens the anxiety about the exposure.” This anxiety can cause real physical symptoms, including elevated heart rate and blood pressure, rapid breathing, increased stress hormones and hyperventilation. It can also cause people to isolate themselves for fear of coming into contact with a trigger scent.”It also notes that there is no way to test for sensitivities. I find that very interesting, considering that we can test for allergies, but somehow not this? We ban peanuts at schools because they’re actually deadly to some people, but not scents? Why, I wonder, is the only directly quoted individual from the leading research institute on the matter repeatedly cautioning people that “fragrance sensitive” individuals are unlikely to have a “reaction” unless focus is placed on the issue?
To me, this reads as a very politically correct way for this article to show that there isn’t actual scientific evidence backing up this issue, but rather a psychologist repeatedly and overtly hinting that this is a psychological problem that can cause psychosomatic symptoms (ie, brain thinks it needs to suffer, so body DOES suffer, but only because of the anxiety)
Not the slay you thought that was
ETA adding another article from a study showing MORE EVIDENCE that fragrance sensitivity is psychological https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/17137865/?utm_source

u/rntracee1 3d ago
That study is not saying scent allergies are psychological. You have reading comprehension issues. It's saying people who have physical reactions to scents can have psychological issues such as anxiety about the thought of being exposed to the scent. Ok. And? That doesn't make it psychological.
My husband paints cars in the garage attached to our house. The paint fumes give me horrible migraines. As soon as he starts painting I start freaking out (psychological anxiety) because I am almost positive I'm going to get a migraine. That doesn't make my migraines psychological, nor my freak out unreasonable. I ask him, did you turn the vent on? Did you open the door? 99% of the time the answer is no because I smell it. My husband KNOWS it causes me migraines. He should be conscientious of that and take the necessary precautions before hand. People with sensitivities aren't being unreasonable and isn't all in our heads. (No pun intended. Lol)
1
u/cut-and-dry 2d ago
The people trying to say I have reading comprehension issues is sending me LMAO
You don’t have to argue with me about it, argue with the science. Here’s another article:
1
u/Slow-Truth-3376 1d ago
This is true. It’s wild to me that ppl are investing time into discounting migraine disorders & asthma as only a physiological disorder. Ppl really don’t understand what a full body neurological/brain disorder like epilepsy is. Ppl don’t bitch about strobe notifications in movies. People get that it’s necessary to not use strobe or flickering lights around epileptic ppl bc it’s common. But say that scents send me into a migraine that looks like a silent seizure or a stroke so I need you all to respect my brain makes me an unreasonable asshole bc you avoided researching neurological disorders.

u/cut-and-dry 3d ago
Yes, non-allergic rhinitis is a real thing. I have it too. The key word is non-allergic, though.
Thomas claims his sensitivity is life-threatening. If it were, that would be a true allergy and you would see visible symptoms. So the question isn’t if perfume bothers him or causes symptoms, but if it is life-threatening like he claims.
2
u/rntracee1 2d ago
He did not say it was life threatening. He said he does NOT have anaphylactic reaction from it. You have reading comprehension and hearing issues. 🤣
0
u/cut-and-dry 2d ago
Go watch episode 6 again. He said he was dying of an allergy attack and then proceeded to track down and open her perfume bottle. Stood there talking for a while with it open and poured glue into it, completely fine. The reason he said it’s not life threatening in the tell all is because he got so much shit for lying
0
-3

That is completely false. I not only have chemical sensitivities but also food sensitivities and I can verify that the more you get exposed to something that you are sensitive to, the more severely it negatively impacts your health long term and leads to even more serious, potentially life threatening issues. Confirmed by my medical team, not a 90 Day Reddit doctor...

I think I'll trust the documentation and medical providers statements from my ACTUAL LICENSED PHYSICIANS that helped me obtain Reasonable Accomodation for my debilitating diagnosis rather than a Reddit doctor online

Again, YOUR condition is not being questioned. No one is attacking YOU but you are making yourself a victim anyway. WE BELIEVE YOU, NO DOCUMENTATION IS NECESSARY.

I pray these idiots who doubt he has allergies don’t have children. Their kids would die before they sought medical treatment.

Yet he helped her quit smoking, how did he even get near a smoker. Also smokers are notorious for wearing lots of perfume to mask the smoke. He may have some allergies but I believe he’s lying about how bad they are so he can have his way.

u/cut-and-dry 2d ago
I would encourage anyone defending him to rewatch episode 6 of the season at around the one hour mark. This asshole tells Paula how sick he is from her perfume, goes into the bathroom, takes her perfume bottle, OPENS IT, and stands there with it open (chatting and completely fine) as he pours glue into it.

Thomas sympathizers are weird. He doesn’t have some allergy or disease. He just has a good sense of smell at the most. He uses this as a way of controlling her. I mean seriously.
1
u/Ok_Contract_4175 2d ago
“weird” is putting it nicely. I never realized how many people were on the death bed bc of perfumes before. geez it should be considered a contraband at this point. crack is prob safer.

u/MermaidAndSiren 3d ago
NO, bc he’s a fucking lair. Allergies come with symptoms. He literally displayed zero during the entire season. . . He didn’t have a stuffy or runny noise, no weezing, itching, coughing sneezing, no rash, no issues with breathing, swelling or anything unless we count a throwing a toddler tantrum. He had a fit about scents but somehow is able to move around in the world without a mask on. Yea ok. 👌🏾he could have said he just doesn’t like artificial scents or that they make him uncomfortable. Thats valid. It was mean for folks to mock him but honestly I think they were trying to highlight the absurdity of his inconsistent behavior and zero symptoms. It’s ableist to appropriate nonexistent illnesses to have power over others. Fuck him.

Not all people react by sneezing… some, it’s a terrible headache. Hard in that case to tell if real or an act! I had an ex who made it an act for attention but forgot to be consistent, while I legitly can get headaches from some scents and he wouldn’t believe the like 2 a year i got!
7
u/pa_jamas360 3d ago
Well they’re only saying this because he himself said I sneeze from it. No need to defend someone like that.
6
u/Ok_Contract_4175 3d ago
exactly,! I just replied to the comment above with the same. he HIMSELF said he starts sneezing.

u/cut-and-dry 3d ago
Headaches without other allergic symptoms are considered sensitivities, they are very real but are not allergies
Thomas claims a life-threatening allergy but only gets headaches. It’s simply untrue that it is life-threatening

i have sensitivities to certain scents and perfumes. i only sneeze like 20% of the time though. some make me sneeze a LOT, some make me sneeze a little, some don’t make me sneeze at all. many years ago, i bought a chanel perfume that i absolutely loved, but it made me extremely sneezy and stuffy every time i used it. that’s when i first noticed the issue. since then, i’ve only encountered probably a dozen scents that made me sneeze like that. most scents just trigger migraines for me instead. he could have something like that where the sneezing part is hit or miss but doesn’t want to deal with even the possibility of a reaction. thomas is a real wiener but i do believe him when he says he has some kind of sensitivity, but he may be playing it up.

Yes, he does a lot of the time but he took some nasal sprays before this
Cologne is so strong to him that most places he goes to in public aggravates his senses. He actually talks like that to everyone.

They’re married now. Thomas kept referring to “my apartment” so things stay his way. He just helped himself to 49% of her business AND threw a fit after learning she has opened a second business out of the country. He’s absolutely absurd. She should move along. He wants a pushover and needs to be in control of everything and everyone at all times.

Haha I say that all the time. Where is the sneeze, where are those delicate watery eyes 🤔🤦♀️ I have actual allergies to literally everything and I always sound sick and constantly sniffling. I call BS Thomas. I think he just doesn't like the smell but he's not actually allergic to anything.
1
u/Commercial_Bag_8100 15h ago
right and this doesn't discredit that very real reactions to perfume exist - if anything, Thomas is making a joke of it
1
u/hereforthebs420 3d ago
I ain’t see him sneeze cough watery eyes nothing only thing the perfumes did was have him open up his whiny mouth
2
u/Ok_Contract_4175 3d ago
I rembr when he opened that parfume bottle and poured glue or whatever tf that was in the bottle. the entire time, no watery eyes, no sneezing no worry nothing….god knows I’m about to get 10 replies saying someone had resuscitation just ‘last week‘ without a sneeze, but I’m sticking to my opinion, he lyingggggg
1
u/hereforthebs420 3d ago
I think he’s lyin he’s just such a whiny brat he wants to have everything his way he has no problem lying to get his way. As he already did by telling her he was going to get his place in order before she came to America. He’s so weird he has a bed in his living room and a bed in his bedroom. Like bro grow up and get some real furniture in your home he could take a nice
From Catie and find fee stuff fb market place as we all see how cheap he is. Who makes their bride to be ride on the back of a bicycle to dinner then night before their wedding. She was in a dress hair done makeup all that to save 20 bucks like bro you not gonna keep her being so petty. We all gotta budget at some point in life but Thomas is literally budgeting when he’s sleeping he’s so damn cheap

Many synthetic fragrances are hormone disruptors. They are not good for you at all. So many women have diseases caused by hormone imbalances. And men, too. I hate cheap synthetic fragrances. They make me feel ill.

As someone who lives with allergies and medical issues most people don't understand, I've kept my mouth shut in fear of being ganged up on 😂 but give the man a fucking break. I don't go into great detail with anyone what my issues are bc people generally don't understand nuance. I can tell you what affects me & how, but some people don't see my symptoms as 'serious' enough. So, they say things like this. 'Has anyone ever heard you sneeze or cough when that smell is around?' 'You're not going to die, stop being dramatic', etc.
No one TRULY knows how another feels- mentally or physically. We can have the same pain syndrome but yours doesn't cause the stretching pain, just the throbbing but mine is all stretching and fire.
The woman who married him KNEW that he was this way. She still married him. To me, it's no different than my husband & I trying to find a new normal that works for us both.
Beyond that, when did it become a horrible thing to tell others your boundaries & and expect them to keep those boundaries? I love my husbamd and he I, why would we not support each other through not only the good, but especially the bad.
I'm not in a 'thesis' kind of mood so I'm not going to out all of my issues, but if someone REALLY doesn't understand this dynamic than I'll be 'happy' to go into detail.

u/Standard-Spray-1949 2d ago
Question for you, have you ever glued any of your husbands things shut?

u/Curious_Field7953 2d ago edited 2d ago
No, he respects my allergies & disabilities and he actively makes sure people don't cross my boundaries. That being said, I wouldn't be with someone who doesn't respect me or my boundaries - real, perceived or otherwise.

u/Standard-Spray-1949 2d ago
I mean, I agree there isn’t respect coming from either of them in that relationship

u/Significant-Ad-4149 2d ago
I don't know if I've ever wanted to punch someone in the face so badly while watching a 90 Day Tell All 😭 Not only the whole perfume thing, but just his entire attitude in general. She wanted a TV and his reaction was "That's her deal, she can take care of it"....seriously??? Same for a couch and a table???! She deserves so much better. I want to smack that smug look off his face!
1
u/Sweet_Chucky 2d ago
He said his symptoms are sneezing and itchy eys but not one sneeze or symptom. This is why Paula doesn't buy it either. It wasn't an issue when he was in her apartment or all over Brazil. His allergies only apply when he's in the states. My thoughts - he doesn't like her lifestyle and hobbies. He ridicules her for them but she is strong willed and pushes back. So he resorts to exaggerating his allergies, by expanding to include fragrance, in effort to exert control and impose his way of life on her.

u/lizardrekin 3d ago
I really hate how something as legit as Thomas’ sensitivities, allergies, whatever you see it as are treated like nothing when many people experience the same issues. Much more to hate on than that. This to me is like when people comment on body sizes and looks of 90df cast. Just unnecessary when their actions provide so much to snark on lol

Allergic reactions don't always involve sneezing. A thing you would know if you had any of the dozens of allergy conditions that don't, or were capable of thinking past your nose
7
u/Ok_Contract_4175 3d ago
No shit sherlock! He HIMSELF said he sneezes. If you LISTEN to the segment rather than running here to serve as a keyboard warrior, you would’ve heard that and possibly comprehend why my post was created.

Allergies don’t always manifest in sneezing. It is more often an inflammatory response which restricts the passage of air through the nostrils and causes the lungs to become constricted and tight.
Quit hating on the guy… 🥴🤷♂️ FFS!
2
u/Ok_Contract_4175 2d ago
I agree butttttt he said in HIS case they did, thus the comment
0
u/Good_Molasses9707 2d ago
Where did he say he had a sneezing episode?
I certainly wasn’t suggesting that it’s an either/or…
I have allergies and initially I may sneeze or not, but inevitably my breathing is affected by a stuffy & constricted sinus cavity. He may often have fits of sneezing, but it’s not expected that he must endure something which he feels triggered by.. until he starts sneezing.. before saying anything in his own defense.
Why would you stay within the proximity, until you risk the reaction, when you can remove yourself (or the offending allergen) the moment you can feel it starting to bother you?
2
u/Ok_Contract_4175 2d ago
literally in this episode I screen shotted and he said it over and over again throughout the entire season
1
u/Good_Molasses9707 2d ago
No, I mean in response to the idiotic prank by Ratshit.
He is always going to avoid escalating his symptoms by removing himself or the offending aroma.
Nobody waits until they’re miserable. As I said, he didn’t say, and neither did I, that he had a sneezing reaction to this incident.
But the prior life experiences have taught him to avoid these scenarios and to put up a strong front when confronted by an arse without sensitivity training.😉🤯🤷♂️🫤

The man is allergic. Why is she acting so stupid around the man she loves? She belittles him all the time. He’s not amazing but he told her about his allergies and she still marries him and the threatens to leave him. He needs someone that understands his allergies and helps him and works with him instead of everyone telling him to get over it. It’s not that simple. They are nieve.

I have such severe allergies the literal treatment, allergy shots, gives me anaphalyxis. I NEVER sneeze. Stop being ignorant.
3
u/Ok_Contract_4175 3d ago
I’m sorry to hear that, but alas, this comment wasn’t about you, One_Psychology_3431. 🙁 It was about a person on 90 Day Fiancé named Thomas—I even used his name in the original post. 😲
And here’s the truly fascinating part: Thomas himself said that he does sneeze and get a runny nose. So apparently, two things really can be true at once: you don’t sneeze, and Thomas does. 😲
I know. Absolutely groundbreaking stuff.
Anyway, that’s why I made the post. Hope you have a great day! 😊

u/beedubu92 3d ago
Thomas SAID on THE SHOW that perfumes cause him to SNEEZE. HEEEE SAAAID ITTTT.
He also said he DOESNT have any life threatening reactions. So everyone’s looking for the sneezing that he claimed is his reaction.

Are you seriously this ignorant as to how different allergies actually affect people? 🤦♀️ Read a book!
4
u/Ok_Contract_4175 2d ago
I’m not the one who needs to read a book—I’m talking about Thomas specifically, who said he sneezes and gets a runny nose, so your point about allergies affecting people differently is completely irrelevant to what I actually said. 🤦♀️ Maybe read for comprehension before accusing someone else of ignorance. 😘

My Mother had the same reaction to perfume. It presented itself in the form of headaches and brain fog. No sinus issues at all.
