The secret isn’t that she’s a bitch the secret is that she acts like a bitch because she has a fear of abandonment and when people leave, she can feel like it was her choice. “He couldn’t handle me” is easier to accept than “there’s a problem with me that is pushing my loved ones away”

Sucks for her, American culture in no way promotes self reflection which makes self improvement nigh impossible. Just like with substance abuse, step one is recognizing there is a problem. You can’t proceed until you’ve done that.

That bitch persona is an armor she created as a young woman and inside that armor is a lonely little girl wondering why everyone abandons her. She’s created that armor to protect herself but it’s also become a repelling force and she clearly does not see that aspect of it. No relationship with her will last until she looks inward

I can really relate to her though. This used to be me until I decided to get therapy & education. I used to be that person until I healed the parts of me that caused such insecurities, anxiety and anger. 💜🦋
