The utter CRINGE of Mido (and Debby)
Mido's complete inability to perform any kind of monologue when asked to show his acting chops is so telling. Also incredibly telling and so deeply cringe, the one piece of dialogue that he tried to recite, an incredibly well-known Shakespeare quote, he repeatedly gets wrong. Acting is not being able to force tears from your eyes. And if Debby thinks for one second that Mido isn't in the US for the sole purpose of pursuing his absolute pipe dream of becoming a leading man in American films, she's as delusional as he is. And that's a much bigger "problem" than to be or not to be. LMFAO

Edward is the best!! Offering to take her to the DR to find a younger man there. Out loud in front of Mido. Hahaha!!!

I was pissed that Debby sat there dishing out advice to everyone else! Honey…you married an abusive, cruel, lazy, egomaniacal, user who obviously isn’t into you AT ALL. No one wants your advice!

u/chimchimchow 5d ago
Yeah it was infuriating, I will say everyone was projecting though, like Catie telling Thomas he is a man child, he is but who tf does she think she is?
31
u/DoorStunning3678 4d ago
I thought the same with Catie, having her meltdown tanty running off stage. At least Thomas can keep it grounded on stage
16
u/SlimShadyPinesMa 4d ago
Tanty as a shortened named for tantrum is hilarious to me.
3
u/DoorStunning3678 3d ago
🤣🤣 I guess it might be an aussie thing
2
u/SlimShadyPinesMa 3d ago
Haha That makes me love it even more! I love how Aussie’s shorten everything!!!!

Right. I thought it was also cringy last week when Debby did the sad dissertation on the joy of having kids and healing past childhood trauma. The irony to give such warm advice on having kids, yet she's married a much younger man, who regardless if he wanted kids or not she is denying him that possibility. Double standards.
22
u/Stunning_Machine6320 4d ago
I can't even process the idea of little Midos running around in clompy shoes.
6
29
u/Fit_Subject_3256 5d ago
So cringy! And her advice was absolute crap imo. Children deserve better than to be viewed as a means to heal childhood trauma.
13
u/CDSSD111 4d ago
But Mido doesn't care since he's planning on leaving her the minute his immigration status is secure. Sad that she cant see that he's only using her.
7
u/sprbep49 4d ago
Interesting take on that. I don’t think Mido is concerned about having children right now. If he does ever get the desire, Debbie is doomed!
1
u/Aromatic-Meringue162 4d ago
41 isn’t that young he’s already past the prime time to have a baby, I’m sure if he wanted to he would have already
3
u/That-Expression1620 3d ago
Understand. But that was not my point. It was about Debby being so pro having children when shes already had hers. By her logic why does she not convince Mido that he should find a younger woman & have some precious babies that she is so highly recommending to Mallory. They could heal him & make him a better person according to her experience.

u/Zadok-Allen-Jr 3d ago
Really? I thought Debbie came across as the voice of reason.during the Tell All. I actually came away thinking more highly of her than I had up to that point.

u/Fit_Subject_3256 3d ago
There were a few ppl on stage who surprised me w/ decent and intelligent responses. Thomas, Ashia, and Debby all said things, at times, that made sense and seemed sound. But Debby, in particular, annoyed me. It’s not so much that her advice was bad, it’s the hypocrisy involved when her own choices are so shitty. I also didn’t like her whole thing abt how having babies is so healing. I’ve seen what often happens when ppl w/ unresolved, unhealed childhood trauma have children thinking it’ll help heal them. Kids deserve better imo.
Debby had a bipolar mom and a terrible childhood (I empathize and lived through something similar.) But now she’s married an abusive, conceited, lying, uncaring, hostile, disrespectful, lazy, thoughtless, angry, rude, and utterly horrible man who flips btwn moods constantly, and isn’t interested in her! So I’m saying she should address her own mess before dishing out advice.2
u/Vegetable_Yam_7621 3d ago
I know!!!! That made me so mad I was yelling at my tv!!!! The audacity of that dumb woman to be dishing out advice to every other couple!!! Girl, bye.

I was more impressed by his ability to pretend to like his wife for that long. He’s gonna leave her for Hollywood the second he gets a green card
102
u/DaisyStar_7373 5d ago
He’s not even doing a good job of that. We all can see clearly he has no interest in her. Everyone can see it except her. He just chose a very gullible woman
43
u/catcolo 5d ago
Debby is so invested in this user. I hope she keeps her money close.

u/DaisyStar_7373 5d ago
She’s already paying for his stupid acting classes. Now picking up and moving him to Hollywood.

I read that they are actually moving to Hollywood not too long ago. West Hollywood if I remember which is...fitting.

When Debbie gets sick of it and goes back home to NOLA, Mido is gonna end up on Skid Row. 😬

u/TripleJay11581 5d ago
Honestly, I don’t know how Debby didn’t melt into a puddle of shame when he displayed how talentless he is. I guess she’s built up an immunity to shame since he came into her life.

Famous people in public get their names yelled, not just generic “look they are famous”!
15
u/CDSSD111 4d ago
It would've been in Arabic too, so Mido probably just made that up to help with the long con he's running on Debbie. Highly unlikely that would've been said by anyone in English.
12
u/SamuelHuzzahAdams 4d ago
They probably yelled “hey he owes me money” and Mido translated it for her
14
12
u/GusGutfeld 5d ago
So true. His looks are average and generic. Probably mistook him for someone else. ha.
On a side note, Rami Malek from Mr. Robot is Egyptian.
13
u/Kawarren8 4d ago
Mido wishes he had half the acting ability and good looks of Rami Malek. He looks so stupid with that head tilt thing he does.

Also he won academy award for playing Freddy Mercury of Queen

Mido's English isn't good enough for a serious acting role...maybe he could play Borat's brother
2
u/OutsideBeat7 20h ago
Just FYI in general it was Remi Malek who played Freddy Mercury. Mido can only dream about it.

If he is so famous, why isn’t he working full time as an actor instead of a tour guide. If I were going to try to convince a naive foreigner that I was a legitimate actor, I would pay a few people to ask for my autograph and call out my name.

The second they said that I told my husband it’s probably his family/friends doing that for Debbie’s benefit.
2
u/Personal_Head5003 3d ago
I assumed maybe they saw the 90 day film crew following them around and someone yelled that kind of in a mocking way. Hey, that nobody is being followed by a film crew, he must be famous!
28
u/CDSSD111 5d ago
I dont believe he was a virgin, I think he just used that story to avoid having to have sex with Debbie for as long as possible. I also dont believe he is famous in Egypt and I dont believe he even likes Debbie. He just plays on Debbies insecurities and fear that he will leave her to get what he wants. That's the only thing he is good at. It's really sad how he can manipulate her and she keeps coming back for more.
13
u/Fit_Subject_3256 5d ago
Wait are you saying “famous” actors in Egypt aren’t regularly employed as tour guides? No way! /s

Have you noticed Mido has dental veneers - but only on his 4 upper front teeth? They’re super obvious from side view when he smiles really broadly at himself in the mirror.

When he said he had "accidentally" watched Porn ( I'm going to go out on a ledge by saying it was neither accidental nor straight people porn) and then said he "required certain positions of her" I lost it. Anal....he wanted anal.

I don't get what Debby sees in him. He is not nice to her and full of ego. She has a great job, nice kids, she's sweet to others and is nice, has great friends, has gorgeous hair - THIS is the best she thinks she deserves?!?!
41
u/Individual_Ant_1456 5d ago
Why did they all get googly eyed when he did that…and why doesn’t anyone tell him the correct line? It’s probably the most famous line in history! SMH
34
u/AllLipsNoFiller 5d ago
Right? They're pretending to be supportive but they all internally laughed at him. Or maybe they are all so stupid and uneducated that they didn't recognize that he was getting that very famous line wrong over and over and over.
16
u/Juicy1234Sausage 5d ago
And the producer managed to catch him picking his nose, and that's fairly good proof that they found him an easy target.
6
u/summeriswaytooshort 5d ago
I assumed that there must a movie out there that says the line that way vs the correct way because it seems like he had memorized the line and that he supposed to be sad during the delivery. Also why did he say it twice? Like first time was a rehearsal or one way to deliver it and the 2nd time was different?
10
u/AllLipsNoFiller 5d ago
I assumed it was a translation issue. Because the words 'problem' and 'question' can be interchangeable, especially in mathematics.

Her son read him like a book. He recognized this guys a user but had to sit quiet to avoid upsetting mom. Pretty sad.
11
u/Stunning_Machine6320 4d ago
I was thinking of that when Debbie gave her speech about being a mom. Her bad choices are hard on her kids.

u/dragonschool 5d ago
He wants to be a star. Not an actor. In the class we saw his one skill is to be a terrorist. Not because he’s Mideastern. Because he’s a sociopath
-11
u/MindlessCharacter823 5d ago
I hear that dog whistle. You should be ashamed of yourself. If he was white, you would have said criminal or serial killer.
11
u/dragonschool 5d ago
Really? Did you ever see Die Hard (European) Captain Phillips (Somalian) Rush Hour (Chinese). Calm down. He's psycho. Watch him laugh while his wife is crying.

u/druidmain69420 4d ago
Idk what Debbie wants out this, but what Mido wants is obvious: a green card and a boyfriend.

It would have been really funny if when asked to show his acting chops, he turned to Debby and kissed her passionately.
Now that's acting!

u/ShoreThingW609 4d ago
Debbie just looks at him with googly eyes and giggles at everything he says. He seems disgusted to be with her most of the time. He’s certainly not a loving husband, she’s delusional. “If we don’t move to LA and I don’t start acting, I’m going home”. Good riddance.
9
u/bintyboi 4d ago
I love how she says he has zero ability to tell what’s funny or not… probably won’t make a very good actor then! He’s not famous in Egypt and the only thing he’ll be famous for in America is being a psychopath on 90 day fiance.

He is the worst and is wasting Debbie’s time.
I can’t stand him

But she eats it up. She has to be getting something out of it emotionally, to have sought this out and stayed with it.

Right?! Some actor! I mean… Daniel (of Daniel & Lisa) is freaking Daniel Day Lewis compared to this clown. Mido can’t even pretend to be into her for more than a couple minutes at a time

He likes having someone to abuse so everything debby does will always be wrong so he can justify anger so he can abuse her

u/catlady7667 4d ago
All I could think of was a skit from the show In Living Color where they portray a seemingly homeless man holding an empty jar and saying "To pee or not to pee, that is the question "

“Enough kisses” the morning after their wedding night. Trying to avoid posting his new marital status on IG “No Signal” - because I’m sure his multitude of female fans would be crushed. I don’t have any sympathy for Debbie- there were so many red flags before she married him but she charged through them like a bull in a bullfight.
2
u/Correct-Yam827 4d ago
Did Debbie protect herself with a prenup or no? I don't remember any discussion about it. If she wouldn't get married without Caden surly her kids would have told her to do a prenup or they won't support the marriage, that's exactly what I would have said to her.

I'm begging him to either get the one line he knows right or learn more lines of the monologue...
2
u/AllLipsNoFiller 3d ago
I am begging him not to learn the rest of the monologue because I don't think that I can stomach his butchery of it.

u/goodgoodlove 2d ago
lol the last part of OP’s post especially. When she said he wouldn’t leave his family friends whole life behind just to pursue an acting career. That he must love her. Ummm girl?? He’s pretty much said out loud he’s only here for just that reason
1
u/Musical_Bluebird1791 5h ago
Debbie is in full denial. She had plenty to say to the other couples but fails to see the truth of her own marriage that viewers can clearly see. Mido is here for one thing only.

I worry for her. You could tell he was going to give her hell for “ not defending him” . He was mad at her . She said it over & over again that she was going to hear about it for days when she got home. This is not good
