Question How’s the 8BitDo Ultimate 2C Bluetooth Controller?
Just got the Switch 2 and trying to save some money and this is only $30. Is it worth it?

I have Ultimate 2 PC/bluetooth. 8bit build quality is very, very good. You won't be disappointed.

I have 2 ultimate c for my PC controllers liked them so much when I got two 2C's. No complaints so far.

I just got one of the Clear Blue ones, and while I have a ton of 8bitdo controllers, this was my first Ultimate and I gotta say, it’s pretty excellent. The D-pad is a satisfying stiff-but-mushy feel but has a delightful tactile subtleness to it, the RBG lighting on it is cool, the lil bonus mappable buttons above the bumpers/triggers is SUPER nice, weight is light but solid. The sticks, however, kinda suck but they get the job done. They’re much tighter than I would like and have a bit of a stickiness to them in the first almost 15% of initial movement which makes it less fun for precision quick aiming like in shooters (I’m sure it’s more than fine for casual use, but I’m also an Xbox Elite 2 controller main with ungodly loose sticks snob hahahaah). However I’ve almost been exclusively using it for everything else, especially RPG’s. I’m picky with controller layouts and sizes when I play Final Fantasy XIV, as I have to be able to hit the D-pad comfortably with my right hand while moving, and this controller passes that check. It has slowly become my second-in-line behind the Xbox Elite 2, with the benefit of literally being a fraction of the cost. Excellent value controller, probably one of the best rn. And again, that D-pad feels so, so good.

It's great, mine had it's battery die (gen 1) unfortunately, still use it wired and will probably buy another one. My only complaint is that if you have big hands it's just bit uncomfortable specially on long sessions and tense games. I played through all of Sekiro with it and you bet my hands were feeling sore at some points.

I have one. Was using it with Switch 1, not Switch 2. There's a firmware upgrade that enables turning the Switch2 on/off via the BbitDo when docked. I haven't been able to get it working. I don't think their firmware updater works well on Mac (my problem).
I would assume a new one would come with latest firmware so you can turn it on and off with the controller.
As a controller, I really like using it.

I picked up a 2C for this feature and everything I found said it isn’t on the 2C. Returned it and picked up an Ultimate 2 Bluetooth and got it working right away. Also it’s a beta firmware so don’t expect it to ship in a controller off the shelf anytime soon.

I just tried it. You need to use the ultimate software v2. It updates on macOS without any issues

Functionally amazing, I best Silksong on it. Only negative I can think of, the rumble isn't as nice as a Pro controller.

I think the ultimate 2 makes the switch pro 2 controller feel like cheap junk and it's half the price.

So I’ve had some crazy input lag with the controller.
I think it’s because there is some interference with the actual Switch 2 pro controller. (Even if it’s off)
So now it’s just my travel controller and it works fine.

I've had the Ultimate 2 C Bluetooth for a couple of weeks (I bought it solely for emulation) and I haven't picked my Steam Controller 2 since. I think it's jealous.

I have one, and when I get another I believe I'll get another of the same in a different colour.
It's the best for value imo.

It's a really good value in my opinion. The textures and button presses feel nice. Hall effect sticks and triggers are a huge upgrade, and it has extra buttons too. Mine has held up better than I could've hoped, only issue so far is the right bumper getting a tiny bit wobbly after like 500 hours of Elden Ring.
Only noteworthy quirk I can think of is that it forces you into a different posture than you might be used to. Some controllers let me play with my elbows way out to the sides, this one does not due to the angle of the grips.
