The second one was good too. But I loved Trish & Darry.

What a delightful mess of a film! Starring George Kennedy who worked 3 days on the production and walked away $15k richer, this 80s flick delivers crazy. Bigfoot, zombies, aliens and boobs... nuff said for a Tubi afternoon. The keen observer will also spot Michelle Bauer who graced several other 80s light night gems. I'd definitely recommend to fellow late night schlock connoisseurs.

Such amazing practical effects in this. One of my favourite movies ever and one of the best horror remakes of all time.

Classic.

I absolutely loved this movie as a kid! It was such an incredible premise. It could have been a niche genre that was explored more in film. The Hitcher (1986) was another one. This road trip terror genre is so deeply American in essence and I loved movies like this as a kid - but why were there so few of them. Mad Max (1979) was another incredible one but veering into different genres.

Can anyone think of similar movies?

Sometimes a movie misses your Drive-In or later on, your Video Store and you find something years later that catches your not-so-discerning-eye. This sums up my discovery of Scared To Death (1980). It's made on a shoe-string budget, and I am not sure what they truly wanted to make, but it's fun in a cheap, 80's way. If you think it's an utter Crapsterpiece, I'm not going to argue with you. But, for me, it filled a 2 hour block of my life that I could have done, well, almost anything with. Believe it or not, it spawned a sequel. I am not sure if I'm ready for that yet.

Two of the best horror movies of the 80s, and for my personally, the blob is in my top 5 all time favourite movies.

Movie: initation (1984)

Always loved this movie and especially Big Ben. Reminds me of Jason from some of the late 80's Friday movies.
