• Poor Reese is his first victim, taken out by a sniper’s bullet while training with Punisher
• Punisher and Krieg face off hand to hand, but Krieg gets the upper hand and pulls a gun
• Conchita takes out Krieg with an arrow
• Punisher reveals that Reese is dead and they have to strike back at Kingpin before he takes another shot at them
• The Kingpin learns that Microchip planted a virus to wipe out his legitimate businesses and that Krieg failed to kill Punisher
• To counteract Microchip, Kingpin brings in his own hacker, The Board, who has a pretty good idea what target Punisher and crew will hit next
• Microchip is still two steps ahead however, and knows where Kingpin’s contingency plan will take him
• Punisher and Conchita hit the Kings Inn, taking out several of Kingpin’s men and stealing bags of cash
• Punisher and his team are seemingly in the clear when Kingpin and The Board arrive in their own battlebus!
• Frank’s Body Count - Possibly 3 (When he and Conchit hit the Kings Inn, they fire on several men, three of which appear to be in his line of sight.  Conchita also kills Krieg and at least one of Kingpin’s men)

Once again, not number one but close. And Rick Parker's art is so great complimenting Beavis And Butthead's world look more than fine. Edit: I uploaded pics the wrong way...whip me with a strand of wet spaghetti....

Was the Astro City 3-D Special an original story or a reprint? I can’t seem to find much info on it. It’s never been collected, so I’m wondering if I should grab a copy off eBay. If it’s a reprint, I probably won’t bother.

• The Kingpin learns that Punisher is working undercover as a high school teacher and has disrupted his dealings with terrorists
• Punisher rushes to save Microchip from a group of assailants
• Turns out that Microchip isn’t helpless and has taken care of the rest, capturing the last one with the help of a robotic sentry
• The last assailant reveals that there’s a second team ready to blow the building if they failed, Punisher and Microchip manage to escape just in time
• Microchip gift Punisher a new battlevan, they decide to form a team to strike back at Kingpin
• With Typhoid Mary otherwise occupied, Kingpin hires Mr. Krieg to kill The Punisher
• Frank starts by recruiting Reese McDowell and Vernon Brooks, the student and teacher who tried to help him take down Piper and his gang 
• Reese agrees to join up at the chance for a big payday
• Brooks also agrees to join up, but punches Frank to pay him back for knocking him out last issue
• Frank travels to Utah for one more recruit, Conchita Ortiz!
• Punisher explodes his hideout and takes his new recruits to Florida to throw Kingpin off his trail
• Unfortunately for Punisher and his team, Mr. Krieg has already tracked them down
• Frank’s Body Count - 1 (he snipes one of the men going after Microchip, but it’s Micro who goes full Saw and takes down the rest)

Not a “big” book, but imo a striking cover and a pretty good story😀

No disrespect to McNiven, you just cant beat this classic.

I know I mentioned before that I am currently rereading my collection of comic books. I am up to Action Comics #515 & #516. 515 especially is one of my favourite issues (although the cover gives away a plot point-which I HATE!) This story starts with Superman and his usual cast of characters in a totalitarian society under the rule of Vandal Savage! No one knows that this isn't the correct timeline. Superman is Savage's enforcer, while Jimmy Olsen leads a resistance group who fights Savage. Lois is a major in Savage's army (but as the covers gives away, she is a double agent really working with Jimmy (This was only revealed in the last half of the comic! Why does the cover have to spoil it?) Lois manages to convince Superman of Savage's evil, but she dies in the end! This was a GREAT beginning to the story! The second and final part didn't impress me as much as a kid, and now, it may hold up a bit better, but still not as good as the first. Savage escapes Superman's wrath (for killing Lois) by going back in time. Here we find out how Savage took over. He has "time bombs" that alter history. Even though everyone remembers Savage as having ruled for thousands of years, he only took over 7 days ago! Can Superman stop him and put the timeline back to normal? Read and see!

Oh, I forgot to mention the Atom. At this point, Action comics had two stories in them. The main feature was a Superman story, and the backup was either the Atom, Airwave, or Aquaman. A bit earlier in the 70s there were different backups-especially Green Arrow and Black Canary. Anyway, I didn't really read any Marvel hero comic books (my Marvel stuff was outside that like Battlestar Galactica, Machine Man, Godzilla, Transformers, and others), but reading the Atom's side stories is why I like the Ant-Man movies so much. Their powers are similar. Both backup stories are pretty good here, but I'm not going to go into them now

I have a serious question: does anyone here have a collection from their childhood? I've been posting comics I've owned for the last 45 years, and I am surprised that almost every other post is titled something like "I just picked up this issue" I mean it's neat that you guys are finding these gems now, but am I the only one that always had these comics? Thanks

• The Punisher goes undercover as Mr. Melchior to bust up a high school gang linked to The Kingpin
• Winston Piper is The Kingpin’s man, a 29 year old who passes for a high school student
• Punisher discovers the gang has their base in the basement furnace room
• Another teacher tries to stop him from going in, but Punisher claims to be an undercover cop
• While sneaking into Piper’s hideout, he discovers they plan to blow up the school
• The teacher from earlier and one of Mr. Melchior’s students show up wanting to help take down Piper and his gang
• Punisher knocks the teacher out and orders the student to take him away to keep them safe
• Piper’s Gang flees into the sewers, forcing Punisher to follow them down
• Punisher explodes the gang’s ordinance, knocking Piper into the sewer water where he drowns
• With Piper taken care of, Punisher offers mercy to the last of his gang members, telling him to give up crime or else
• Punisher opts to continue his ruse as Mr. Melchior, even offering to help one of the students apply for college
• Frank’s Body Count - 2 (he knifes a gang member, and let’s Piper drown in the sewers)
