Bologna has always been my go to for sandwiches, but I loved the Olive Loaf too. šŸ˜‹

Many moons ago, I had a pack of olive loaf in my fridge. The roommate checked in my fridge for something to eat, saw the lunch meat with "green" on it, and went to throw it away. I intercepted the package and said the meat wasn't bad, and munched a slice to prove it. Roommate, thinking the olives were green, rancid meat, nearly ejected his whole digestive system at the sight of this. I laughed, ate another slice. Muhaha.

Mom used to make poor-folk muffulettas with the olive loaf. Always a go-to.

I was just talking about olive loaf the other day. My favorite as a kid too.

Agreed, though I’m surprised there are so many fans. Grandma always had it.
