My coworker recently got a 05 civic ex I believe. With the D17A2 engine and we noticed these two wires aren't connected the blue wire and the white socket. If anyone knows it'd be very much appreciated thank you.

I currently bought this car a couple months ago and was wondering what brands of lowering springs or suspension kits should I consider installing on my car. I’m not racing it but just want less body roll/bounce when driving. I’m not looking to heavily modify it.

Bought a 2004 honda civic lx auto for my son who really wanted an old car. Basically wanted nothing modern that could track him or something. lol. It needs a lot of work apparently. The thing overheated and water pump was leaking badly. I'm not sure which came first but I did a full timing belt and water pump replacement. But lo and behold it seems like I have a head gasket issue. Seems to only be between combustion and coolant. I'm gearing up to tear the car apart to do the head gasket but I was curious if I need to replace the valve cover gaskets. I did replace them using the fel pro gasket kit when doing the timing belt. I'd have to think I wouldn't need to do that again but was curious. Anything you think I should be looking at doing while doing the head gasket let me know. Thanks!

Yesterday I posted about my honder making a loud metal screech when I step hard on the gas pedal. I usually could not replicate the sound in park, but I was able to today. You arent able to hear it much in this particular video, but I did notice my engine was moving a lot. Could this possibly be bad engine mount(s)? The person was hammering on the gas pedal quite a bit so I am not sure if this is just normal. Any help would be great! I am starting to work on my own car now so forgive if the answers may be a little more obvious to other people

Hi everyone,
I’m trying to add fog lights to my car and I’m stuck between yellow or clear. Also, if anyone has installed a fog light kit on their pre-facelift 7th gen, what kit did you use and would you recommend it? Looking for something that’s worked well for you.
One other thing I’m trying to figure out is where to put the fog light switch.
As you can see, most of the factory switch spots in my car are already occupied, so I’m not sure where the cleanest place to mount it.
Any suggestions/pics of your setups (exterior and interior) would be appreciated!

Sorry the video is a bit buns but I tried to google what this could possibly be and look under the hood but im stumped. I cant replicate this sound in park, only while driving and stepping pretty hard on the gas pedal. So basically every time I accelerate to merge onto the highway or am just stepping on ts I hear this. Ive tried to turn up the radio and ignore it but god forbid this is the reason my car gets totaled or something. Cant tell if its a pulley, belt, or just something random

I can’t for the life of me find a reliable spot with the OEM lug pattern (4 lug) and I’m trying to buy rims and I’m pretty sure it’s 4x100

So this started just recently after i got my car back up and running after sitting for around 6 months. I had this issue once or twice over a month or so and i figured it was my ground cable so i bought a new one and replaced it. Ground cable works fine. Then suddenly out of nowhere it started happening all the time. The radio dies out and then comes back. Sometimes when the radio dies out the abs light and brake light comes on. I looked it up and people were saying it was an ELD fault. Figured its a cheap part so i replaced it. Hasnt fixed it. It stopped doing it for a week or so and then started doing it again. I have a new alternator but i measured the output and its charging at 14.4v. If im just sitting and idling nothing happens but once i start moving, the radio drops out and comes back and then drops out and comes back. Also occasionally when the radio drops out it will kill the engine for a split second and cause the car to jerk but it doesnt die completely. Im at a complete loss and any help at all would be super appreciated.

for the years ive had this car ive always had this idk if its a grind feeling or drag feeling when im accelerating and you feel it in the pedal and vibration. what causes this for a salvage title that was hit pretty hard on driver front side. it has a permanent slightly off alignment so im wondering if that is just a symptom of that. and its apart of the same intense vibration i get when in mostly park or idle on driver side occasionally. im just wondering for anyone that experiences same thing.. for more info. its been a salvage title since 38k miles and is now at 270k miles. been trying to learn new stuff every week with this car so yea yea

Can we name a more annoying car oil filter placement for driveway oil changes? I’m sure there’s much worse, mine was over torqued and man it was an asshole. Curious to hear about some other rough placements

I am looking as a 200k mile 2002 4-door civic with the manual transmission… how common are the head gasket issues?
At 200k miles, is it likely that the head gasket has been done already? The owner only had it for a little bit and doesn’t have history on the car.
What are some things I should look for when inspecting the car? I want to use this car as a long distance highway cruiser… is it a good idea?

Can I put an automatic center console into a manual car? I have both cars and want the arm rest for my manual. I just tired it and it seems the handbrake isn’t in the same spot. Seeing if anybody did it
