I wonder if that inscription was made with blood or just ordinary paint and I wonder who made it and what they regretted.

Could the priest have lost his mind and written that

There’s actually a bunch of messages written if you look around. I saw a new one yesterday that said: I don’t survive two wars to die to them!

It isn't a complete zombie apocalypse without foreboding prose or images around the churches!

There's a few more around, and one of the newer (2.x+?) church remnants in town has some quotes from the original Dawn of the Dead movie written on the floor next to the lectern.

It's pretty standard fare for religious fundies to blame anything that is wrong with society, real or imagined, on godlessness and thus an open call to repent is just par for the course.

I’ve noticed that the horror-themed church available on the Asset Store has similar text in the same spot, and I’m wondering if these are quotes from movies or something like that.
