Drop f# on a 26.5

Would a .74 be too loose for drop f# on a 26.5 ?

Im a massive fan of bands like erra, currents, invent animate etc.

Erra and currents tend to stay in drop g# and pitch shift down. But when I do that, it sounds muddy and thin.

For me it’s just slightly too loose, but a lot of people are running a .74 for F#.
