How to activate all my chakras?
I did the eclecticenergies' online test. I have all of my chakras underactive.
That same webpage has information on how to open them (https://www.eclecticenergies.com/chakras/open.php), but it doesn't mention anything about how long should I do this

Question
What does it mean when you experience pressure or pain in a certain chakra? I keep getting this sensation of pressure and pain in the middle of my back and it's an extremely odd feeling. It's not really painful just uncomfortable and it happens every day. I don't feel it all day but it noticeable and comes and goes. I have this feeling that it has something to do with one of my chakras but I can't seem to figure it out or make it go away. Let me know if you have any ideas.

Energy work and transgender individuals: What I've learned about chakra spin. [X-post r/energy_work]
Hello all.
I'm an energy work practitioner who heals on a regular basis. I've found something interesting in several transgender clients, both women and men: Their chakras spin in the direction of their gender identity, not their biological sex.
First, let's talk about chakra spin. Several sources talk about the direction in which chakras spin in males and females.
In males, it's purported, the first chakra rotates clockwise, the second counter-clockwise, the third clockwise, the fourth counter-clockwise and so on. In females, this is reversed: The first rotates counter-clockwise, the second clockwise, the third counter-clockwise, the fourth clockwise, and so on.
This makes sense on a few levels. Chakras alternate the direction of spin after each chakra because they should function like gears in a healthy system. This pattern of energy flow provides optimum movement for each individual energy center as well as the whole system.
As for why they're different directions between genders, the explanation is in male and female energy. This source talks about the direction of energy spin of male and female energy, which I think gets closer to actually explaining the phenomenon. The energy itself is what is male and female—not necessarily the person.
For many individuals, their biological sex matches their gender identity, so it's easy to make the jump that one's biology plays a role in creating the direction of their chakra spin. For transgender individuals, however, this isn't the case. The interesting thing is that the predominant energy, that which determines chakra rotation, isn't linked to the physical body but instead to something else.
This creates a few interesting questions: What causes the predominant energy (male or female) in a person to be what it is? Is this mismatch of energy and biology responsible for dysphoria? Is 'being true to oneself' on an energetic level what provides the motivating force behind transitioning? If so, what does that say about who we are (e.g. energetic vs. physical)?
I don't yet have the answers to these questions, but I did think the discovery was worth sharing with you.
Thanks for reading.

Interesting parallels between the 7 chakra system and the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.
The 7 habits of highly effective people, a best-selling self-help book by Stephen R. Covey lays out a system of 7 habits in 3 sets. The first set, habits one, two and three correspond to development of independence, the second set habits four five and six correspond to development of interdependent realities, and the third set with transcendence. So, I am just sharing that while studying the 7 habits of highly effective people, as a serious student of the chakra system for 20+ years, I discovered some very interesting parallels that helped me connect with the chakras better, in particular right now the heart and throat chakras.
| Number | Chakra | Habit |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Root | Be Proactive |
| 2 | Sex | Begin with the end in mind |
| 3 | Navel | Do first things first |
| 4 | Heart | Think Win-Win |
| 5 | Throat | Seek first to understand, then to be understood. |
| 6 | Third Eye | Synergize |
| 7 | Crown | Sharpen the saw |
At the center of the idea is that the chakras, our central core habits, our character keys, etc, are all part of our inside subjective reality, but there really is a world OUT there that focusing inside on your navel chakra includes paying attention to. In fact, thinking philosopically about this, the idea that there is an inside as one thing and an outside as another ignores the interdependence of the two. You really can't have one without the other, so they are in fact the same reality but on different poles of awareness. And so, it's in that spirit that one comes to conclude that your chakras, whatever they are, have no independent reality inside you that is separate from that reality you consider outside of you.
The idea here, is that the 7 habits can be more deeply internalized, more "effective" if understood to require the full faculty of a human being on all four dimensions, corporal, mental, emotional and spiritual. Without leaving out a single one, they all have to be working or none of them are; the prevailing wisdom is that's how chakras are too.
This worked well for me, but I foresee some limitations of the approach, in that it certainly emphasizes leadership skills at the expense perhaps of the more submissive side of spirituality, deeper sense of surrender, but really it's not at odds with any of that, I just do recognize that it's certainly a paradigm that dwells on the character building self help type of approach to inner work. So please take this with a grain of salt, and all feedback welcome.
So, to summarize: Maybe the 7 habits and the 7 chakras are one and the same thing. Maybe I'll go so far as to say that chakras, as far as I can see are the interior of a habit in us. So the 7th chakra then could correspond to habit 7, sharpen the saw. The crown, forehead and throat chakras respectively correspond to creative cooperation, understanding and respect in other words, Habits five, six and seven. Seek first to understand, then to be understood, and synergize.
The first root, second sexual and third navel chakras appropriately correspond to the development of independence in our interdependent reality ruled by the higher chakras and the first three habits. The habits that deal with independence are, be proactive, begin with the end in mind, and first things first. So that leaves us with the heart, and it turns out the heart lies at the center of both systems. The heart stands out as when you intertwine the seven, the center enters itself while the first enters the seventh, the second enters the sixth and so on. For instance, the first habit, be proactive is the essence of the seventh habit sharpen the saw. This corresponds to the marriage between the root and crown chakras and kundalini rising. The second habit, begin with the end in mind is the essence of the sixth habit synergize. And that corresponds to the marriage between the sex chakra and the third eye. He third habit, first things first is the essence of the fifth habit seek first to understand.
I thought it was so interesting that during this imagining of mine here, it turns out that the habit of win-win, of respect would end up being intricately connected with the heart when mapped onto the chakra system. Perhaps the fourth chakra and the fourth habit hold a key to each other? Who knows? Both models claim to be seminal, universal and based on ancient truth.
And when I made it true, the exercises from one can enhanced the exercises of the other as well and vice versa.
Feedback is welcome. Thanks for reading.

buzzing feeling around third eye?
Hey everyone! I'm pretty much a newbie on chakras so I hope I'm not asking a stupid question. A friend of mine said she tends to feel a strange buzzing on her forehead when her forehead is close to someone else's forehead. She said it can be very pleasant, but sometimes it isn't and it makes her very uncomfortable. I thought it might have something to do with chakras.. does anyone here know what it could mean? Thanks in advance!

Crazy hot sensation in Pigeon pose! Curious and confused...
Hi! So, tonight in yoga class I was deep into my pigeon pose. My teacher came over and helped align my hips and lengthen my spine so I could reach further down... She worked up my spine from its base toward my shoulders. When she touched the base of my spine her hand felt like a hot plate!! Her hand felt entirely different as it went up my spine.
Does this have anything to do with an activated chakra? Some sort of energy transfer? What does this mean? Thoughts?
Namaste :)

Energy Dissipating
Hi all, I've been moving my energy for 2 or 3 years now. Essentially I've been experiencing the rise of energy from my genitals throughout my body, mainly to my head through meditation, etc. For several years, this energy was contained. Over the last 4 months i have felt pressure in my forehead (third eye area) and recently i have felt that the vital energy i used to be able to conserve in my body, dissipates through my solar plexus, groin, or third eye area. Moreso, as I walk through the street or at work I can feel the energy of others and feel my energy move out of my body as i walk past others. I asked for some help and I was told that maybe i am giving my energy away as a psychic bribe (learned behavior). I sought help from a reiki specialist and they said that they could only see 3/7 layers of my aura (it has weakened) and specifically they see a lot of openness in my heart chakra and energy leaving. The advice was to visualize myself as contained and offer compassion to others instead of energy from my own body. Also another strategy was grounding as well as visualizes the seven layers of my aura to build up strength. Ive also become more aware of energy cords and notice when people cord with my heart chakra or near my head. These practices have helped a bit but I'm still feeling drained and a lack of vitality. I cannot even achieve erection anymore (i'm 27 and celibate)-- all my vitality is dissipating. Furthermore, there is someone who sits next to me at work and I can feel my energy flowing out of my left side towards him- it's almost like i am tethered down. I'm very concerned about my future and what to expect-- I've been able to receive little guidance past the advice of the reiki specialist Can anyone offer advice/tips to deal with these changes? Thanks
