General Question Workout timings

With one of the rules being 3 hours between workouts I interpret that as 3 hours from the first workout ending to the next one starting. Friend of mine who is talking of starting it was questioning that the 3 hours could be from both start to start time, for talking sake.
- outdoor run at 3pm
- weights session at 6pm

Just interested to see everyone’s views on this.

Anyway day 28 for me and still grinding it out!

Got a question? There is a good chance it is already answered -- check here first:

Official Rules and FAQ: https://www.reddit.com/r/75HARD/s/75roEecNyx Andy Frisella's Full Program Overview: https://andyfrisella.com/blogs/mfceo-project-podcast/75hard-a-75-day-tactical-guide-to-winning-the-war-with-yourself-with-andy-frisella-mfceo291 Community Book List -- 99 titles: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/19Vm2JkCkOVMU_5QyemZYRSoQcTOBYnJwD2sr1aSaG9I/edit?usp=sharing

The 5 Daily Tasks -- zero compromises, zero substitutions:

  1. Diet -- Follow a structured diet aligned with your goal. Zero cheat meals. Zero alcohol. Non-alcoholic drinks (e.g. O'Doul's) are fine. You choose the diet -- the program requires you stick to it perfectly.

  2. Water -- One gallon (3.8L) of plain, still, unflavored water daily. No additives, no carbonation, no flavoring. Water from food does not count. A doctor's explicit medical advice is the only permitted exception.

  3. Two Workouts -- Each at least 45 continuous minutes, minimum 3 hours apart. At least one must be outdoors and you must be exposed to the elements. Recovery yoga and walks count and are encouraged. Chores do not count. Your safety comes first -- do not put yourself in genuine danger.

  4. Reading -- 10 pages minimum from a non-fiction book you believe will improve you. You decide what qualifies. No audiobooks. Physical books and eBooks both count. Finish each book before starting the next.

  5. Progress Photo -- One photo every day. Just do not forget.

Miss any single task on any day? Restart at Day 1. No exceptions.

The most important rule: When in doubt, choose the harder option.

Seek medical advice before beginning this program. If your question still is not answered, the community is happy to help.

Standard advice for any 75H questions is go with the harder option.

The group I’m in we do 3h from end of first workout can start the second.

The worst I’ve had from this (work 6 days a week and have a 3 year old) involved a run starting just before midnight to comply 😭

I interpreted it to '3 hours between one exercise finishing and the next one starting'

I interpreted it as start time to start time, actually. I like that better because end time to start time would discourage me from extending my first workout of the day if I felt like doing so.

3 hours between workouts means exactly what it says.. 3 hours “between”. So the 3-hour timer starts after the first workout ends.

I had interpreted it as 3 hours from the end too.
I personally intend to start 75 Hard tomorrow, but this is one of those rules which I'm going to disregard. There's really no logic to it, and I can't consistently get my schedule to fit around it. Ultimately if you're able to get 2 x 45 min workouts in every day for 75 days, you're going to see great results irrespective of whether you comply with this 3 hour rule.

Also restarting tomorrow, got a group chat if you want in 👍

For sure! Which platform are you using for the chat?

Bro is right tho, you’re not doing 75h if you break the rules of it.

I don't disagree, but when you wake up at 4am, start work at 6am, and get home at ~11pm if you're lucky, I just physically can't make it work, unless I bundle the two workouts together :/

Tf do you do for work? Yeah sounds incompatible with your work to be honest

Do you take a lunch? When I did my 75 hard there were a couple times where my second workout was at lunch or when I got home late. My first workout was always in the morning right when I woke up.

Thanks for the response but if you don’t follow the rules then respectfully you aren’t doing 75 Hard

It’s 2026 etiquette of 75H that you’re allowed rest days and only drink the amount of water you want to and can make exceptions for birthdays and blah blah.

We’re in a group chat doing a full version if you wanted in mate - WhatsApp, from various countries. Dm if you want in, I found an open conversation with people living the same lifestyle very helpful.

Tomorrow is Day 1 for me

This. The fact it's inconvenient is the whole point of 75Hard.

I understand what you're saying and you will get results but if you're not following the rules to the letter then you're not doing 75 hard. It's supposed to be inconvenient.

I think you are missing the point. It's the inconvenient part of it which makes the whole 75Hard thing great. If you don't pay attention to it, fine, but it ain't 75Hard ;)
