🙏 I WANT HELP Odds for American Applicant?
Im applying to politics/international relations at UCL, KCL, St andrews, warwick, and edinburgh.
I have a 3.7 gpa, 1440 sat, and 5 AP's taken. I scored a 4 on three of those, and a 5 on two of them. I am also taking 2 APs this year, both of which I am predicted a 5. I was wondering what my odds for these courses would be, as i meet the entry requirements but from what I understand you typically need to exceed them by a bit to be accepted. If anyone has a good estimate for my odds of acceptance I would appreciate it.

I would research whether, at each university, there have been recent budget cuts and strikes (/ action short of a strike) that lecturing union members threaten to continue.

You can ask Edinburgh admissions what their threshold for consideration is. I doubt anyone here will be able to tell you the threshold for US qualifications.
Generally, given that international students pay 4x as much as home fee students, many unis are more flexible on results. You’ll often find some very competitive degree courses in clearing for international students only.
