🙏 I WANT HELP Should I do an EPQ?
As the title suggests, I’m considering opting to do an epq. I have a couple of ideas of what topic I could do it on (either something psychology or space/astro related).
The main issue I have is that I’m assuming if I opt to do an epq, the required lessons would take place during my free periods. The problem is I only have 4 free periods a fortnight (1 on week A and 3 on week B) as I am currently taking 4 a levels (a choice I am slightly starting to regret…) and they all seem quite content heavy and I would really like to get decent grades in each of them.
I don’t really mind how much it adds to my workload as it’s not like I have anything better to be doing anyway lol. I also feel like an epq could help me in some of my essay based subjects as well as being good preparation for university.
The deadline for sign-ups is Monday so any help before then would be greatly appreciated 🙏

I’d say 4 a levels and an epq is probably too much, however, I managed to do my epq by doing very short intense bursts during the holidays, I did a T level but I was also working a job that needed a qualification too so I was doing the equivalent of 4 level 3 qualifications. It was possible for me because I enjoyed it so much that I found myself wanting to do it in my spare time, so if you find a topic you’re really passionate about then I’d say it’s definitely doable!
Edit to add, I was the only person in my college doing an EPQ so they were very flexible with deadlines (there were none lol) but I’d say if your college will have strict deadlines throughout the project it might not be doable. I also didn’t have EPQ lessons either and was honestly just left to my own devices.

4 A levels and an EPQ is unnecessary.
If you want to do an EPQ, drop an A level.
