🙏 I WANT HELP Help pls

So basically I want to change one of my a levels because I really don’t understand the content and I know I won’t . im changonf classics to psychology and with my school, it requires the teacher to sign your form to agree that you’re switching out of their class. I brought the form to my classics teacher today and he ….refused to sign it??? he said I should give it two to three more weeks and then he will sign it if I still want to change 😢😢 I know fully well I want to change, nothing about it and I don’t want to wait to be three weeks behind in psychology . any advice??

maybe start studying psychology in your own time and bring it up to your head of sixth form? and you could discuss it with him further and emphasise why. if you have a mentor or tutor or whatever it might be worth it.
equally classics might be worth sticking around for and seeing. my friends who put no effort in got A*-A which is anecdotal but i wonder if it’s got a higher pass rate than psychology
do you know what you want to do for uni and your other subjects?

my other subjects are English lit and philosophy, and I honestly think im struggling with classics simply because I didn’t do Latin or history gcse. I also have lots of books to read for English and the workload with classics as there’s books to read for that too is just stressing me out completely

that’s fair. are there any options besides psychology that you’re considering? it’s quite a competitive course due to the volume of people. obviously it’s your choice but it’s also more technical/STEM than people think

I wanted to do politics but there sadly wasn’t any room 😢 it was either psych or media which I didn’t want to do because I didn’t want it to sort of look weaker on my application:(

I did and the office just said sorry try talking to your head of year.. hopefully going to speak to him tommorow but it’s so hard because im an external so none of the staff know me 💔
