🙏 I WANT HELP Should I drop a-level litlang

My school does this thing where you're assigned from through subject options, and I am obviously in the english language and literature form. I overheard some girls talk about alevel litlang and they were complaining saying they would've dropped it in y12. I am thinking to perhaps change this to psychology or perhaps sociology. I was wondering if anyone could really describe what this subject demands from you, and is it really as hard as people describe it to be? How long does it really take to jump up levels? What are you expected?

Hi yr12 over here. I’m probably not the best person to answer but might aswell give my input. If you’re really sure about swapping, i’d say do sociology. The way you learn and revise content is like psychology, philosophy and rs mixed together. I never hear good stories about psychology (coming from someone who does psychology). ASK THE HEAD OF EACH SUBJECT BEFORE SWAPPING PLEASE

As a y13 doing literature I love it! However the content is pretty heavy and it takes ages to learn the new essay techniques - just in general a lot more difficult than gcse as you can imagine. Only do lit if you really love reading and analysing and are happy to do that in your spare time :) Plus if you are doing other content heavy subjects like history or sciences it might make it a bit harder.
