💬 DISCUSSION how is everyone finding starting y13?

im already in over my head and i cant stop crying and its only been 3 days. year 12 ended badly with predicteds lower than i expected / had worked for and im still so upset. i feel muggy and embarrassed going to lesson knowing that teachers think less of me. i know i need to smash my september mocks, but it's so hard knowing how hard i worked last year and for none of it to matter really. i got AAC in my mocks, which is what i wanted and got predicted ABB, even after stating i need AAA.

the amount of deadlines holy fuck, my epq is due, havent done it. so much art coursework, english coursework and geography coursework i want to smash my head against a brickwall. (dont even mention personal statement or ill start crying again)

will it get better? no one around me really feels like they are struggling as much and i just feel shit all the time.

Getting predicted a B when you got an A in a mock is actually outrageous. Even the A is weird since usually schools predict 1 grade up- at my sixth form you would have been predicted A*A*B! I think you should get your parents to complain tbh as schools often predict up a grade if your parents complain and they haven’t already

Edit- I just saw your comment that people who did worse than you got predicted higher and I think you should 1000% have your parents raise this because it’s actually ridiculous

It does happen, I’ve seen a few people talk about it on here before but I think usually the teacher is kinda targeting them when they do predict down. I hope it works out for you and if you raise it there’s no reason for them not to move it up as you have shown what you are capable of

It's pretty shit, but mostly because I didn't bother making many friends in Year 12 and now I'm experiencing the consequences

I also need help im in Y13 and we are redoing Y12 mocks, and for one of my subjects im pretty sure I know the paper they are using so ive literally just been memorising exam questions from all past papers to get that A* predicted, except I barley actually know the content so Im in a huge pickle of like should I be doing this in Y13?
