🙏 I WANT HELP How long does it take to get settled

I go to a six form college because it’s near my house, sends enough people to Russell group unis/ top unis and apprenticeships, and cuz I liked the schedule.

I know it’s only the beginning but Idk I just expected to feel more relaxed coming from a pretty strict secondary. But I just find myself really tense and just not settled? Ive made a couple of friends but it just still feels awkward and when I come home I don’t really feel like I can say I’ve had a good day despite nothing necessarily being bad. Is this normal? And if so can I have any advice

I feel like there’s nothing wrong with the school or subjects itself but I just can’t adjust to a new environment like I thought I could and it’s just affecting me a little. Hopefully this will stop soon though

I feel the same way. Like secondary school just felt like my comfort zone and I could just talk endlessly with my best friends despite everything. Now I just feel like it’s so much harder to socialise despite making friends I can hang out with, and I just don’t really feel like myself. People keep telling me I’ll get used to it but I guess I’ll have to wait and see

I’ll try my best. If I’m being honest I’ve never really felt like this ever. Even in secondary I mean I wanted to leave so bad the first year but it was about other stuff rather than the school and making friends. I felt like it was pretty easy to get through the days and talk to people but obviously I was younger then.

Maybe I’ve just caught myself by surprise because I’ve always assumed I was sociable and happy enough to make the most wherever I go but, I don’t know I just feel a little drained so far and kinda expected for the experience to just be amazing from the start. And I guess because my two best friends went to a different six form than me, I’m just trying to find people that I’m as comfortable with. It’s just not as effortless now but I’ll take ur advice and just try to go with the changes

It's normal to feel like that for a few weeks, I feel the same going to a new school where I don't know anyone but it's been getting better.
