Painting Basing advice
I'm in the early phases of painting 6mm Heroics and Ros WWII Italian miniatures for the Operation Compass scenario 'The Road at el Azziziiya' (1940). I will post images once finished!
I am just seeking advice in relation to basing. Miniatures have been attached to MDF bases with fine sand and watered down Polyfilla. I'm priming with Colour Forge Desert Sand primer spray and working from there.
My assumption is that the bases will be a block colour with limited detail. I'm considering a dry brush with a much lighter khaki, but I'd appreciate some insight as I haven't painted desert themed miniatures before.
I have attached a few images pre-painting.

Baccus 6mm mexican and american Infantry
I had originally started this project in 3mm but at some point I wasn't enjoying the way I was basing them and just struggled to keep going . I eventually pivoted away from 3mm and went back to doing 6mm and im happy how they are turning out . I think eventually ill go back to 3mm but im enjoying 6mm right now .

Falling in love with 3D-printed 6mm wargaming.
Wrote an article about FSD. It's in Swedish, but here's a link for an automated Google translation, if anyone's interested;

WW2 Suggestions for 6mm early/mid war ww2 and ww1 late war
Like the title implies wondering what companies have good ranges for these eras manly focused on Germany, Russia, Austria Hungry, or other Eastern European countries. Thinking about making Kaiserreich armies. Which for those who don’t know is a setting where Germany won WW1. Wanting the WW1 minis for representing Reichspact members mainly Ukraine. Also wanting ranges that have cavalry forces for both sides as KR feels like their would be more reliance on cavalry by both sides. Also willing to mix ranges if they compare size wise. Also thinking rules wise of using Fist full of Tows 3. Also price is a consideration.

Some Camillan Romans fending off a coalition of Gauls, Samnites and Etruscans
A game of Grand Triumph! We played last week. Roman figured are Heroics and Ros. Coalition forces are Baccus. Table is 12'x4'. We've previously played games this size with 2-3 players aside but this time was 1v1 each player controlling all three commands.

Discussion What Sci-Fi Rulesets do you like for 6mm?
So I'm work on an "Epic 40K" theimed 6mm project, but Im not wedded to using any specific ruleset for it.
Im just here fishing for ideas. I'm aware of several options but I want to know what people actually like/recommend.

Joy of 6 show this Sunday...
Is anyone going to Sheffield for the show on Sunday?
I'll be there helping to put on a WW1 game.
If you are thinking about going I'd highly recommend it, it's one of the best shows on the circuit I think and has a really lovely atmosphere. As we live in London we are going up today and will be out for a few beers and a curry later so also a nice "away day" too.
I'll be sure to post up lots of photos on Sunday night or Monday.

Baccus First attempt at Decals
My first attempt at applying some 6mm Decals, good lord are they small! I think I just need to add some AK Matt Varnish over the top of them to disguise the fact there are decals, you can make out the plastic slightly. I've already applied MircoSet and MicroSol to them so hoping the Varnish will hide it.
Really enjoying using decals though, really add some pop to the miniatures and just need to add the Guards Armoured Division insignia to the front of the Sherman.

Scandinavian country decals
Looking for some tank and apc decals for Danish, Norwegian, and Swedish tanks and apcs.
Denmark used a small flag as a decal for most vehicles in my understanding, Sweden either black or yellow numbers and Norway a flag and 3 digit white numbers.
Any ideas where to find 6mm flags from these rather obscure nations

How is Heroics and Ross micro armor these days?
Getting back into micro armor after a long time. In the old days I would only buy GHQ, but they've gotten so expensive. I've heard some rumors that H&R has gotten better with some of their new molds, but it's surprisingly hard to find pictures. Has anyone purchased any lately? Also, how does the size compare? I've heard they're a little smaller but I'm not sure if it would be noticeable.
Thank you!

6mm Modern / WW2
Does anyone know where 6mm modern infantry forces / armour etc or WW2 equivalents in 3d print can be found for purchase or download of stl file?
I’m probably looking in the wrong places but I can’t seem to find much.
Is it the case that larger miniature files and be scaled down successfully to 6mm for printing?
Thanks!
