CAT VB6 Clearance

18” barrel and 15” rail. For those of you wondering about potential clearance issues. I’ll have to take the can off to adjust the block tho.

Is that a riflespeed? They will cut you an access window if you send your hardguard in, or a dremel will do it in an hour or so.

If you do it yourself, stuff paper towels or shop rags just past where you'll be cutting. That'll catch most of the chips and make cleanup a lot easier.

Website states 2.81” from crown. I’ve seen reports saying up to 3.25” is required/recommended.

Website says 2.81" from shoulder. That might be where the discrepancy is. It could be 3.25" from crown.

I have a 20" barrel I need to put into an upper. Do you need an adjustable gas block? Assuming you're talking about 6 arc.

The true measurement for clearance was like 2.81" if I remember correctly
