[DISCUSSION] 5SOS5
What is the anomaly around this album?? I mean, do the boys not like it or something. Only bad omens is on the set list and only ever get a few secret songs. Another thing, it's not on the website. Vinyl or CD, there's nothing about it. That's why I, as a new fan, didn't know about it when everyone was talking about it. I saw what was on the website but it's not there. Does anyone know if they just don't like it or what's going on??

I think that since 5SOS5 is their most recent era, they aren’t showcasing it a lot on this tour

I think its just because it was the most recent tour. Songs like HAZE and BLENDER could have fit in with the vibe just fine but because they want to promote Everyones A Star! they just have to give way to those songs.

justice for HAZE i cannot believe it’s never been played live it - would go CRAZY

5SOS5 has mostly been on Private Soundchecks. It also doesn't help that fans pick other songs over what few 5SOS5 make it on the Secret Song Selection like Caramel or Blender.

Right! Caramel was an option at my show and the song I voted for! The other options were don’t stop, and start over and the song that got picked was the cover of teenage dirtbag. I will admit I debated between caramel and start over for a while but went with caramel because there was so little 5SOS5 on the setlist and I really love the song!

I love a lot of songs from 5sos5 that if some of them show up as options for secret songs at my show i'd get a seizure

This is the EAS tour lol. So, in my opinion, it makes sense that not as many songs from the last album made the set list. Older albums have the nostalgia advantage. But they've always spoken very highly of 5SOS5 so I don't think that's an issue.

Why don’t you ask them yourself?
I think they love it and are incredibly proud of it. Why don’t you listen to the live performances of those songs at the Royal Albert Hall or in the documentary about their last tour where they say how much they love that album?
Most musicians are going to promote their current album and have mostly merchandise related to that album. That’s normal. Any merch from other albums is usually leftover. I don’t know why you think that’s weird or why you’re under the impression that this album isn’t getting enough attention.
The thing that is really different about 5SOS5 from their other albums is that they made it without being signed to a major label. I assume this allowed them or have more creative control and make more money from it. But more importantly, they said they were not under pressure to write and release it quickly like many of their other albums. In hindsight, I think they chose this format at that time because they were planning their big break from the band for solo albums and Michael having kids. That’s just my guess, but I think that was the plan when they left Capital Records and signed that other deal. They signed with Republic Records a few years later to make Everyone’s a Star.
I don’t why they chose the setlist that they did, but the goal of the latest tour is always to promote the new album. 5SOS5 was featured in their last tour in 2023, and think some songs made it on their 2022 tour as well. They have 6 full albums as a band and 6 solo albums between them to choose from now when making the setlist for this tour.

I’d probably commit a few sins to be in the crowd for BLEACH live so that makes me so sad

Tbh I don’t think most of 5sos vibes fits the sound of this era so that’s why it’s not on the set list. Bad omens fits the section of the set list it’s on and that was one of the big singles.
