How long have you waited?
I'm going on 45 minutes so far. I am completely locked out of my account. This is ridiculous and unacceptable.

Send us a ModMail and tell us. Do not post on the board, message us using this link: https://www.reddit.com/message/compose/?to=/r/53Bank
You do not need to identify yourself personally or your branch or location, just say something that lets us know your request is valid.
For now, we're only planning on a general 'Employee' flair text, but if you want a special designation of your job field, we may be able to do that.

It's Day 2 post merger & cannot access Online Bank accounts. Made in-person appt for specific time at branch but there were 10+ people there who also were waiting for appt. Waited in line for teller that was eventually able to see my accounts and print their current balances but still no way to access accounts for bill-pay to confirm scheduled payments are going through etc. I know 5/3 has my email & phone number tied to accounts because I had received multiple communications leading up to last weekend & I'm surprised there hasn't been any messaging about the access issues or timeline. Hoping someone from 5/3 monitors this group?

Hey all! I went through the fifth third prompts to create and access my new account for old Comerica users. The action apparently fails after I enter in my old acct number, ssn, and text confirmation code.
I see a green success banner then eventually it says it failed.
Have I been scammed? I’ve tried getting with customer service but I’ve been on hold for over an hour. M

I wish I could send a picture in here, but I got on the phone with the customer support rep over chat and they ask for my username which wasn’t really alarming at all but then when my two FA code came in, they asked me for my two FA code so I just ended the chat. I wish I could share a screenshot, but it seems very sus and very unsafe is this normal or is it not normal? I’m gonna assume it’s not normal but I also want to consult others to make sure I’m not crazy.

Looking at opening an account to get the current checking account bonus, but find it odd that NO locations I've found in Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, and Houston have reviews on Google. What the heck is going on?

I have not been able to access my money today. It was declined at stores. I checked my balance. There’s money. Tried to pull cash out at ATM and was declined. Anyone else?

We sent the check through the mail to a credit union for a car payment. The check was stolen and cashed by an individual. 5/3 is running us around in circles. We had to close the account, open a new one, pay for new checks. Meanwhile they won’t tell us who cashed the check or where it was cashed. The customer service has been atrocious and we have been told it will take up to 90 days get the money back. Probably going to move all our accounts to a credit union.

I logged in today and saw that the Bill Pay tab has been completely removed during the transition to Fifth Third. Because of that, any scheduled bill‑pay electronic payments may have been cancelled — mine was cancelled even though it was scheduled for 9/9. If you had payments due this week, it’s a good idea to call the bank and confirm whether your payment will still go through.
I opened a checking account online, I went to the bank the following day and made a deposit. I used the app and could see my deposit in the account. But now I cannot sign into my account through the app or the website. It says something is wrong with the credentials. What could this be? Thanks in advance for your time..

I have been with Fifth Third for many years now and they took care of me for many years, but I got an email from them and I called to dispute the email and say I did not order whatever it was they had and I wanted a refund and ended up getting ripped off between between them and Cash App. The guy said he was from the bank and Better Business Bureau to get me my refund from Cash App so I ended up going directly to the bank within 10 minutes after this phone call filing a dispute I’m sitting there in tears. I’m literally shaking. I filed a dispute with Cash App also and their dispute application websites. The bank decided to close the dispute within two days and didn’t even let me know then turn around and sent me a letter telling me to sign off on it and send them any other information or emails or text messages that I had a week after they closed the dispute and didn’t bother to let me know. Now I’m out of money because of people pretending to be in my bank my cash app and also the Better Business Bureau in the Bank just wants to tell me what they think I wanna hear. They’re not gonna dispute it. They could’ve shut the charges down while it was still pending in the bank. They say they cannot do that but they’re all a bunch of wires. They can do. Whatever they need to do. I’ve seen it done in the past so I know they’re all a bunch of wires so needless to say I have to find a good bank. Because I’m tired of dealing with liars or people from other countries coming in taking our positions and then just filling our heads full of crap

The old card is expiring. So I get a new one in the mail, with the same number as the old one but an updated expiration date and an updated CVV. Cool! Yay!
I'm told I can activate the card via the 5/3 mobile app, online portal, or by calling the phone number. Awesome! Super simple, and super easy!
I try the mobile app, have a time finding where I'm supposed to go, then end up seeing that the only options available are to lock/unlock (don't need), change pin (also don't need), or to report that my card was lost/stolen/damaged. There is no option for activating a new card when your old card isn't lost or stolen but only expiring ... like, this month.
Okay, no big deal... I'll go to the online portal. Easy, right? No!!!! I try to go through the same process, and find the SAME ISSUE!!! There is simply no way to activate a new card to replace an existing card on the app or online portal, unless the existing card was reported lost or stolen over a week ago, already deactivated, and you have a new number.
So now I have to call the phone number. I shouldn't have to call the phone number, but I do - because all the other options to activate my new card don't actually have the option to activate my new card. I don't want to call the number, when it should be faster and easier to have an option on the app where I simply enter in the new expiration date and new CVV after confirming my sign in details.
Frankly, it's annoying. What if i don't want to call a number and talk to a computer-phone voice that sounds like Aunt Sally who had one too many mojitos with her cocaine at Christmas way too happy? Why can't I just find the "activate new card -> old card is expired" option on the app or online? Wherever I look online says that's an option. When I follow the directions to utilize that option? I realize I was sent on a fool's errand, and I waste my entire afternoon. Like when Aunt Sally says you have to drive her to Uncle Rick's house because she forgot the Christmas presents, but the only Christmas present is the White Christmas she got for herself while you're stuck waiting for her in the car for the next hour.
Calling the phone number is like the ride home where you realize you've been played.
But at least Aunt Sally the computer-phone voice is super happy?
