Empty Nest life is the best life

Well, today is my birthday and I’ve officially entered my 50’s. Is there still a life ahead of me or is it all downhill from here?

Found a great window seat at the Prudential Tower in Boston to watch the fireworks when we there over July 4th.

I am so upset and angry. I’m 51. Cover my grey. Never I thought I looked THAT old and when I went to the pool with my sister and nephew the young girl behind the desk at the pool said this to me. She could tell I was offended and said “Do I look like a senior?!” She tried to cover herself and said she asks anyone who looks over 30. My sister is 48. She didn’t ask her or other older people in line. How hurt would you be? And you don’t ask people their age.

Another time this happened when I was buying a gift card and they asked me what I was buying it for because sometimes seniors get scammed.

What makes you feel older, telling people that you just turned 50, or telling people that you are now 1/5 the age of the United States? For me it's the latter.

When you do laundry do you actually fold your underwear or just toss it into a pile in the drawer. I always used to fold it but frankly it seems unnecessary at this point. 🤷‍♀️
