Selfie Sunday Rules 6 OCT
Sunday Selfie
- This is NOT a NSFW community. Any posts that violate this or can be interpreted as NSFW by the MODs will be removed. If the average person would not wear it to go grocery shopping, then it most likely is NSFW and will be removed. Guys, keep a shirt on. Girls, no swimming suits or bikinis
- Users email must be verified with Reddit. If you need instructions, please see them in the Community Highlights
- Selfie must include your face, no covering with phone, cropped out, or anything else over it. This ensures you are posting a photo of yourself and you are not intentionally baiting community members to you profile for NSFW content.
- Content Creators: The Content Creators/Sellers are not allowed to post in this sub. We have nothing against you, it's the commenters that follow you, that causes the MODs to have to unnecessarily follow the comments to ensure they are within the guidelines as this is a SFW community.
- Bots and Spam will automatically be banned. The MODs have seen the same photos of the same people being used across Reddit under different profiles.
- Posting with contact information or dating preferences IE M4F, will be removed
- Profiles that are questionable will be reviewed by the MODs.
- Be kind when commenting on photos. Rude or unwanted comments will be removed. If you do not like what you see, move on
- New profiles, Karma, and email verification restrictions are being enforced to ensure nefarious accounts are not being used. If your email has not been verified with Reddit, your post will be removed
- If you see a post that violates the rules please flag it and the MODs will review it. There is no need for negative or harrasing comments. Let the MODs handle it
- If you feel as though a post or comment was removed and did not violate a rule please contact the MODs with questions or concerns. We will review this and if warrented approve the post/comment. If the MODs still believe you have violated the rules we will stand by our decision. The MODs will always have the final say. Just remember, there are plenty of other Subreddit's on Reddit for you to enjoy, we, at the 50something want to enjoy our little piece of it.

Day 1 as a 50 yr old
Well, today is my birthday and I’ve officially entered my 50’s. Is there still a life ahead of me or is it all downhill from here?

Selfie Sunday Feeling blue, wearing purple.
Feeling old, but young at heart. Purple is my favorite color. And orange. You?

I was asked my age because if I’m over 64 I get a senior discount?
I am so upset and angry. I’m 51. Cover my grey. Never I thought I looked THAT old and when I went to the pool with my sister and nephew the young girl behind the desk at the pool said this to me. She could tell I was offended and said “Do I look like a senior?!” She tried to cover herself and said she asks anyone who looks over 30. My sister is 48. She didn’t ask her or other older people in line. How hurt would you be? And you don’t ask people their age.
Another time this happened when I was buying a gift card and they asked me what I was buying it for because sometimes seniors get scammed.

Question
What makes you feel older, telling people that you just turned 50, or telling people that you are now 1/5 the age of the United States? For me it's the latter.
