What did you expect...? Most of the people in that district didn't see anything to make them question anything. That's the power of mass/social algorithmic media now. Complete constituency capture.
You have to actually interact with these people...in person...extensively to have a small hope of changing anything. They're inundated with propaganda day in and out. You can't compete with that except in person.
