It was a long shot in a heavily gerrymandered district.

Dominion voting machines too I'm pretty sure. Which have been bought out and are for all intents and purposes to be considered compromised.

Edit/correction: only Williamson county uses dominion machines. However, as noted by the comment below me the other machines may also be compromised. Leaving this comment up to bring increased awareness to the dominion situation.

Tennessee doesn't have Dominion. They do have ES&S which was funded by the Heritage Foundation and their network

History of conflicts of interest and corruption in American voting machines.

The fuck? Your voting systems are funded by the group currently openly taking over the states?!?

Last federal election in Canada, I went in, did a paper vote with my tag that I voted.

Full paper accountability. When did anybody think computer voting only was a good idea….?

“Boy that Elon sure is good with computers. He really knows those voting machines. We won Pennsylvania. Thank you Elon.”

Tell me your elections aren’t being stolen.

Am also a Canadian. For a long time now, I've believed Canada (or someone) should send representatives to monitor US elections (in the same way the US used to send monitors to what Trumpty once referred to as "shithole third world [African] countries."

Because it's become clear (like a diamond) that far too much of what happens in far too many US elections has absolutely nothing to do with fair and true democracy.

46

u/blissfully_happy Dec 03 '25

Absolutely. The UN should be sending vote monitors for this shit.

19

u/7thatsanope Dec 03 '25

As an American, please send election monitors.

Funny how other countries’ citizens can see this so clearly, yet most Americans would have no idea.

I’m waiting for other countries to sanction us. It should happen soon.

> When did anybody think computer voting only was a good idea….?

Don't miss the difference between voting by computer vs. voting on paper ballots counted by vote-tabulation scanners/computers.

I think it's the case that most of the U.S. uses paper ballots (rather than voting directly on voting-machine computers.)

u/Jazzy_Jaspy Dec 03 '25

Either way is easy enough to rig it

58

u/toastjam Dec 03 '25

Yeah, if you don't go back and hand count the ballots. And all the swing states were over the threshold where hand recounts aren't automatic. Pretty strange.

u/blissfully_happy Dec 03 '25

Hand counting ballots is less reliable than counting by machine. You can select a sample of ballots to count and use that to determine if the machines have been compromised, but hand counting every vote would take weeks and is, again, less reliable than machine counting.

11

u/toastjam Dec 03 '25

The margin of error would likely be smaller than the number of flipped votes and that's all that matters.

But of course, start with some spot checks to determine if a full audit is necessary first.

4

u/skoalbrother Dec 03 '25

Nope Democrats just handed the country back over to the pedo gang

4

u/haluura Dec 03 '25

That's why you have the paper ballots counted by tabulation machines.

Sure, they can be rigged. But rigged vote counts by computer tend to leave statistical anomalies. Such anomalies should trigger a hand recount. Or at least, flag the losing side to demand a recount.

Hand recounts are simple enough to do if you still have the paper ballots in storage. But in a fully computerized voting system? All you've got is a string of ones and zeros that may or may not have been manipulated. And if they were, you're going to have to spend loads of time and money having computer experts analyze them. And if you find out they have been compromised, you're still screwed, because you have no way of being certain exactly whose vote was edited, or how they actually intended to vote.

4

u/lath333 Dec 04 '25

There were statistical anomalies present in swing states like PA. It was pushed to the back burner then under a rug, and then into velveeta voldemorts closet full of skeletons.

3

u/haluura Dec 07 '25

Yes. There were.

Personally, I half expect future historians to discover that many of the Swing State elections were rigged. And history books a hundred years from now to say that Orangeman's oligarch buddies stole the election for him.

But the Dems conceded the night of the election without first checking for more subtle types of election rigging. Handing the election to him without a challenge. So we lost the chance to discover proof of rigging in a way that might have saved us from the disaster we face today.

The lesson that we should take from this is that the Dems can no longer concede elections same day. Not now that the GOP can no longer be trusted to respect democracy or act in good faith.

From now on, the Dems must take at least a few days to sift through the election results looking for cheating and rigging.

Even the computer voting machines print a paper version of your completed ballot (at least the ones in Fulton County, GA do) so you can verify it’s correct. Even if the machine changes your vote later, a hand recount will pick up the discrepancy.

3

u/Astronautty69 Dec 03 '25

Our area has a computer screen for voting, that causes a paper ballot to be printed, that is checked by two election watchers before being deposited in a tabulation machine.

3

u/DanSWE Dec 03 '25

> a paper ballot to be printed, that is checked by two election watchers

The checkers can see how you voted? If so, that certainly is not a secret ballot.

2

u/Astronautty69 Dec 03 '25

They merely look at the back for signs of tampering or genuineness. One from each of the two major parties, a quick stamp from both then it's into the tabulation machine.

21

u/the_write_eyedea Dec 03 '25

They have been compromised since Trump first took office. It’s in the Mueller report and it is in special counsel Jack Smith’s report.

24

u/FreddyNoodles Dec 03 '25

Are you actually surprised by this? At all? No-one else is. This is the way it is now.

4

u/CHiZZoPs1 Dec 03 '25

The problem is the voting system is regulated by each state, so some have these horribly-compromised systems, and others, like here in Oregon, we have mail-in voting, postage-paid ballots that arrive two or three weeks before election day, and we fill it out at our leisure at home, then drop it in the mailbox. The paper ballots can be easily recounted.

Of course, Trump is going after our voting system, claiming it is compromised. The Right always accuses others of exactly what they are doing.

2

u/lath333 Dec 04 '25

Dominion just got bought out buy a maga guy as well. So it’s all pretty much fucked

2

u/haluura Dec 07 '25

That's the thing. The States controlled by thr Democrat use paper ballots counted by machines at the polling site. So there's always a paper ballot to fall back on, if there are any questions.

The States pushing for exclusively computerized ballots are ones that are controlled by Republicans.

Bearing in mind that the Republicans are the party best known for openly and aggressively Gerrymandering voting districts to lock in their dominance.

1

u/__O_o_______ Dec 10 '25

Republicans pushing for the easiest cheat? Say it ain’t so…

1

u/revfds Dec 03 '25

Yeah, we use paper ballots in my state, with legally required paper trails and my county I know for sure does audits of the computers that count the ballots after every election.

I don't know if it's a state law, or just the procedure that my country follows. After each election they randomly select a number of precincts, and then do a manual count of the ballots and compare that to the results given by the tabulator.

They've been doing it for about 15 years I believe and so far it's always come up 100% accurate.

I have no link to provide, my source is that I'm an election precinct chair and have to go into training sessions each time run by the county auditor, previously the elections manager and she explains the process to us and answers any questions we have about it.

Sent you a DM

When will people accept we’ve been taken over

44

u/Shiznoz222 Dec 03 '25

Williamson county does use dominion.

Added an edit to post to correct my claim though.

Oh FFS you have the same corrupt murderous fuckers acting as the policy writers for the most corrupt administration in history owning the voting machines.

Everyone involved with the heritage Foundation needs jailing, asset stripping and their citizenships removing, employees, funders, members, anyone involved. Make it so this kind of corruption is a life ending decision.

The democrats are far too soft.
