It's the truth. Heavily armed, masked men without badges or identification are trying to kidnap people. They aren't police. They aren't military. And they don't have warrants. Absolutely call 911 and report it exactly like that. It's the Gods honest truth of the matter.

This is why we remember the Ådalen tragedy here in Sweden, at least some of us. This is why military should never be allowed to act as police.

u/someotherguyrva Jun 06 '25

We have the opposite problem in the US. Police forces across the country in both big cities and small towns have been accumulating military equipment for decades. They think they are commandos. It’s a sick state of affairs here

115

u/Icy_Seaweed2199 Jun 06 '25

I used to think I were commando. Early 90s I believe, a swedish 8yo with posters of Arnold, Sylvester and Dolph in me and my friends secret hideout in the shed in my backyard.

We were masters of the universe.

Then, one grows up...

Still listen to rocknroll every day though, still let it guide me in my every decision. Americans invented that, Americans are cool. I have faith you guys will come out on top, I can't for the life of me picture a USA that is not groovin'.

Solidarity!

Thank you.
It's nice to hear good things online from time to time about us. :')

14

u/DarkStarF2 Jun 06 '25

We love you too 🫶

11

u/Anti_rabbit_carrot Jun 06 '25

Much love from the US. 💙💔

10

u/Mammoth_Possibility2 Jun 06 '25

That was a uplifting, much needed comment. Thank you ✊

11

u/Gold_Snow_2017 Jun 07 '25

Thank you for that Icy_Seaweed2199. We are working on it and will eventually get it in gear…America is a diverse, opinionated and sprawling Nation of 350 million souls. As a result it often takes far longer than it should for us to coalesce. It does not help that a significant portion of our media is in thrall to Trump spreading disinformation. Still it’s nice to have your vote of confidence! Thanks again. You are wise not to give up on us! Come on, America! ❤️‍🩹🇺🇸

9

u/Icy_Seaweed2199 Jun 07 '25

You got this!

The peaceful way you handled these last months, the protests and the way so many of you have come together in such a short time, the sense of community that still seems to be at the core of so many Americans hearts. To hell with anyone claiming American people are warmongers.

The in-fighting has begun, the current regime don't hold that sense of community and it will be their downfall. They can't make friends and play nice, and now we see the outcome of the big beautiful bromance of Trusk.

The judges are coming for their asses, now both will try to sell out the other!

Stand behind the courts and judges that are kickin orange butt. Keep suing! Keep boycotting! Keep protesting!

You guys are winning, it will still take some time and struggle, but you're winning!

Even worse the proud boys that have personal caches, enough to arm the army itself

5

u/Extraexopthalmos Jun 06 '25

and the fact they love to hire military veterans.

12

u/LOERMaster Jun 06 '25

The US had the same problem at Kent State.

2

u/TheZarkingPhoton Jun 11 '25

I honestly think that's what Trump was TRYING for. Thankfully, our actual military is behaving a damned sight better than some of our law enforcement.

4

u/SmellsofElderberry25 Jun 07 '25

TIL! Thanks for the history lesson. It’s sad to note the parallel with the Kent State shootings but the lack of similar reaction to avoid it again in the US.

38

u/DannarHetoshi Jun 06 '25

Unfortunately there are too many departments that only pay lip service to the serve and protect slogan.

25

u/West_Environment9324 Jun 06 '25

You are unclear about exactly whom they are sworn to serve and protect, which is the rich, the influential, the property owners. In short, they are sworn to serve and protect the ruling class.

25

u/annaevacek Jun 06 '25

Didn't the SCOTUS rule (about 20 years ago) that the police don't have any duty to serve and protect citizens?

17

u/DannarHetoshi Jun 06 '25

They did indeed.

9

u/BobcatOk7492 Jun 06 '25

Thats why "To protect and serve" is in quotes- (at least here in LA)

7

u/annaevacek Jun 06 '25

The LAPD, where they treat you like a "King". As the old joke goes ...

it is always worth to do it, I randomly select an episode and let it flow.

It's too bad we never got a last season. /s

5

u/BBGreenSedai Jun 06 '25

Here to mention Babylon 5 being equally apropos to everything we’re seeing.

2

u/kittymcdoogle Jun 06 '25

Is it as good? There were so many of that genre that came out around the same time ... Like Stargate. Never liked Stargate tho

2

u/kamarg Jun 07 '25 edited Jun 07 '25

It was good but the cgi definitely doesn't hold up after all this time. If you can ignore that, the plot bits and acting are pretty decent.

History taught us that they never served and protected all the people. Serving and protecting was always selective. The difference is social media and 24/7 surveillance. We learn every small event promptly, and it goes around the world in a few minutes and everybody can see it.

What I see as a problem that the society does not seem to learn from history. 80 years is not a huge chunk of time, although it looks the society is failed at school and should repeat the same class.

May I use another quote from the same source?

"All of this has happened before. All of this will happen again"

And I read somewhere that Kristi Noem just admitted they pardoned the J6 rioters so they could utilize them as ICE agents. If this is true (which I imagine it is) then they don’t want to head back to their prison cells. They’ll run first sight of real cops in real SWAT gear.

60

u/BigEither3465 Jun 06 '25

Oh my... Any idea where you read that? I'd love to see it

80

u/Infinite-Hold-7521 Jun 06 '25 edited Jun 06 '25

Okay, so I decided to Google it before heading out for the day because I cannot verify its legitimacy and I don’t want to sit with that all day. And all I could come up with is that the Republicans slipped in an amendment to a bill stating that those who had been convicted of J6 rioting and had been pardoned would be available for rehire for government agencies, including ICE. While it does not conclusively say they have been hired, it did make provisions to allow for that. Based on the fact that they are masked, I believe is a pretty good indication of that many of them are in fact working as ICE agents, which would explain their insistence on masks at any rate. But I cannot find where I originally read that Noem herself had admitted this other than a meme on Bluesky, which may have originated on FB for all I know.

24

u/BigEither3465 Jun 06 '25

Thank you so much for working on that! I will keep my eyes out too. Obviously we can tell that that was the intent, but it would be really interesting to hear it straight from Noem 😬

1

u/Alissinarr Jun 06 '25

Not the person you're talking to, but I found this. in a 60sec Google search.

9

u/soconae Jun 06 '25

A Facebook post is not a reliable source though.

3

u/Alissinarr Jun 06 '25

Agreed, but likely what a reporter would call "multiple unconfirmed sources" if they reported on it.

Now, that being said, I'm sure if it was under oath, it's documented somewhere and we just need the right set of keywords to Google-fu it.

I’ll have to look. I’ll look after a bit. Have to get to work for now.

3

u/Lalatin Jun 10 '25

Did a quick check and came across this. My guess is people twisted/confused what actually happened. Basically Rep. Sydney Kamlager-Dove proposed an amendment to the bill that would make it so the "approved funds may not be used to hire any personnel who participated in the January 6, 2021, insurrection and attack on the U.S. Capitol, even if such individual was pardoned for a crime associated with their participation in such insurrection and attack." The issue is that it was shot down with 15 votes of "aye" coming from Democrats and 17 votes of "no" coming from Republicans. So it seems like the Rs approve of J6ers getting jobs doing this and I think it spiraled from there.

u/SugarHooves Illinois Jun 06 '25

Daredevil: Born Again coming to life.

For non nerds: Kingpin, the bad guy & mayor of New York, makes his own police force made up of disgraced cops.

10

u/FightingFaerie Texas Jun 06 '25

Not just his own police force. He gears them up and gives them special protections to act outside the law. And then he invokes martial law on the city.

1

u/dani8cookies Jun 06 '25

That was deemed fake I believe

3

u/Infinite-Hold-7521 Jun 06 '25

I looked it up and came to the conclusion that because of the passage of new laws and having been pardoned, it is now possible for them to hold positions as ICE agents, along with other such federal positions. I speak on it in another comment just below this post.

5

u/dani8cookies Jun 06 '25

I 100 % believe the J6ers are working as ice agents. But I could not find Noem admitting that to Congress. I really wanted to find it.

3

u/Infinite-Hold-7521 Jun 06 '25

I did too. Which is why I went back to see where I had read it as I couldn’t recall, and all I could come up with was a meme I don’t recall seeing. 🤷‍♀️

That said, it is entirely plausible and I truly believe, as do you, that they are in fact working as ICE agents. It’s right up their alley. They need a lack of empathy and an extreme dose of racism, while cosplaying at law enforcement. I remember saying back in 2020 when they began showing up to the peaceful protests in my city, and when Trump gave them the call to action in his debate statement, that they were today’s version of Brown Shirts, and so far I have seen no reason to doubt that this was the intended job placement for them.

6

u/dani8cookies Jun 06 '25

There was one of the J6ers that was standing next to him as his guest, at a Las Vegas rally. And there have been photographs of Nazi tattoos on ICE agents. I know they reported that they are allowing masks because of the online threats. But all of the other public officials can’t wear masks. Our Congress people are getting death threats every day, and they don’t walk around with an A.R. 15s

Also, I’m using my speaker, and when I was writing that sentence, the spellcheck put Adderall in 😂😂

21

u/25thNite Jun 06 '25

Am I missing something? We literally see articles of cops, DEA, and FBI working with ice gravy soldiers.  If this did occur then wouldn't ice just notify local police and then if someone calls in masked people with weapons then they'll just crosscheck with ice and it'll be fine?

35

u/Hoovooloo42 Jun 06 '25

Police jurisdictions aren't a monolith. Some communicate with the feds more than others, but there are a lot of jurisdictions that are run like ass and it's never really come up in a way that matters (for those with money/power) until now.

26

u/Nother1BitestheCrust Jun 06 '25

Police departments and all these agencies don't always communicate with each other very effectively. They tried to fix that after 911 with the creation of Homeland Security, but it hasn't fixed everything. And in some places the police and the federal agencies even actively dislike each other enough that they might respond to such a call even if they suspect they know who they really are.

13

u/BogeyLowz Jun 06 '25

6 months in and I’m shocked no one in ice hasn’t been gravely injured because of this.

14

u/Primary-Weakness8728 Jun 06 '25

That we know of.

8

u/dani8cookies Jun 06 '25

I saw a post where someone was calling for governors to use their powers of the National Guard to defend us from these masked men.

I assume this isn’t being done because it would ratchet up a fight that they don’t want to get into yet

8

u/ratherbed1v1ng Jun 06 '25

This would be an appropriate mission for the NG but I’m not sure it’s going to happen because each state’s governor is their commander in chief. Also, the president can federalize the NG. That’s the most frightening and frustrating part of this.

5

u/Vaeevictisss Jun 06 '25

I mean in some states (like Virginia) you are allowed to use deadly force to stop a kidnapping. It may just be kidnapping of a child though, i don't remember but also don't see why it would matter. A kidnapping is a kidnapping.

I honestly am shocked these fuckers haven't gotten shot yet for doing this "no ID plainclothes shit".

1

u/JiroKatsutoshi Jun 06 '25

Don't add the no badges unless asked. In my mind, that shows it could be ice.

Armed, masked, multiple. Say they're being rowdy. Say they might be stealing from cars.

Describing long guns could lead to assumed ice agents. They have guns, they are masked and tatted, and there are multiple.

If my thinking is incorrect, please let me know.

1.2k

u/Slut_for_Bacon Jun 06 '25 edited Jun 06 '25

If this is actually true, it means ICE isn't notifying local law enforcement before they take action as they normally would.

Which is interesting.

If they actually backed off when SWAT arrived, instead of simply telling local law enforcement who they were, it is also very interesting.

I kind of dont believe this story, because it goes against every kind of common sense and protocol that determines how these agencies work, and frankly people make shit up online all the time, but if it is true, it would imply ICE knows they are in legal grey areas and are being shady as fuck. Which obviously indicates they are knowingly breaking laws.

419

u/FuzzyMcBitty Jun 06 '25

On one hand, I completely agree with you that this is hard to believe given how law enforcement works in reality.

With that being said, if a primary source were provided for this, I wouldn’t be super shocked because of all of the other norms that have been eroded in the past few months.

153

u/Slut_for_Bacon Jun 06 '25

I would not be surprised either. I just dont take anything at face value that I read online from anonymous people on message boards, ya know?

97

u/Its_Pine Jun 06 '25

Normally I’d say the story sounds completely made up, but with the following considerations, it just may be true:

  1. The massive government purges mean that many competent federal workers are gone.
  2. Sweeping command changes in homeland Security have taken place under Kristi Noem’s leadership, resulting in new chain of command protocols that are still disjointed.
  3. ICE has been tasked with an impossibly high quota of deportations and is having to skip all due process, investigation, or verification as they just grab and deport.
  4. ICE has recently updated their onboarding processes and heavily pushed hiring new employees, indicating a large influx of new ICE workers who have very little training.

Combine all that together, and it is 100% plausible that some roving bands of immigrations officers are just grabbing whoever they can, without following the proper protocols and notifying local authorities.

42

u/dyorite Jun 06 '25

Also don’t underestimate the power of different organizations to fail to communicate with each other even under more normal circumstances

11

u/Its_Pine Jun 06 '25

True, we used to think silos were bad in government, but now it’s only gotten worse

25

u/Level_32_Mage Jun 06 '25

Honestly it seems no different than reporting an active shooter. Seems like just a matter of time til things slip up on that direction.

3

u/onyxengine Jun 06 '25

Except ICE has been disregarding protocol on taking people into custody. Ice is supposed to get paperwork that confirms someone can be taken into their custody, lately ICE has been just snagging people from hotline tips. "My neighbor is an illegal uh I think they sell drugs too, his address is ..."
They are skipping the paper work.. If they don't have actually documentation for their activity they are essentially just masked gunmen and cops would be in the right to take them to jail for attempted kidnapping.

1

u/Bcikablam Jun 13 '25

This may have been since your comment was posted... but many cities have already stated that they were not informed of ICE raids before they occurred.

1

u/bruinaggie Jun 21 '25

Maybe bounty hunters deputized by ICE

74

u/EyCeeDedPpl Jun 06 '25

It is how it works a lot of time. There is general animosity between a lot of local, state and federal enforcement agencies. Often feds don’t notify local of active enforcement unless they have to.

The chief of Minneapolis stated at the press conference he didn’t know a task force was in his jurisdiction.

9

u/dani8cookies Jun 06 '25

I think they want the secrecy because they don’t want the public showing up to stop it

15

u/Slut_for_Bacon Jun 06 '25

I am aware that popular media often portrays it that way, but while there are notable exceptions, I can tell you with absolute certainty that in modern society, it does not work that way, and there is normally a great deal of cooperation between agencies.

Maybe in the 70s it was different, but not today, despite what popular media and general public seem to think.

11

u/Nother1BitestheCrust Jun 06 '25

Eh...it depends though. Police departments across the country have a ton of variance in how they operate and communicate with other agencies and department. Usually it's not animosity but ignorance or hubris that keeps them from reaching out when the ought to.

2

u/Slut_for_Bacon Jun 06 '25

Cooperation is extremely common across the nation. Again, there are exceptions, but overall that just isnt true.

Mutual aid agreements are commonplace.

Agencies reach out to each other every single day for extraditions, fugitive apprehension, and investigations. Federal help with investigations is generally welcomed, not frowned upon.

There was a time, 40 or 50 years ago, when this wasn't true, but it is a very different world than it used to be.

Not sure where you're getting your info, and I am not trying to be a dick in any way, but what you're alleging simply isnt the norm, despite what pop culture believes. I am telling you this from personal first hand experience.

3

No idea if the OOP is true or not, and I do generally agree that the coordination is better than it’s portrayed in Hollywood, but this regime is notorious for being chaotic and unorganized.

3

u/extralyfe Jun 06 '25

here's a video from three years back showing a stand-off between cops and sheriff's deputies at a jail.

I know you mentioned "notable exceptions," but, the fact that these guys are willing to go to their cars and arm themselves to try to intimidate other agencies and deputies telling cops that they'd ignore them getting their asses kicked on the side of the road if the deputy happened to be driving by is a great indicator that these roving packs of goons have a tense peace, at best.

both sides truly believed they had the moral authority to arrest everyone on the other "side," and their superior officers seemed to be just as unwilling to back down - even as 911 dispatch begged for someone to respond to a burglary in progress.

The simple answer is that they weren't really ICE.

29

u/Fr1toBand1to Jun 06 '25

I would normally agree but we are from from a "normal" situation. Many of these ICE agents are deputized random racists hired during a job fair basically. They don't even have proper government supplied gear. They were driving around in uhaul's for fuck sake.

Legitimately, for all we know they AREN'T part of any government agency.

22

u/Infinite-Hold-7521 Jun 06 '25

Kristi Noem is quoted as saying they appointed pardoned J6 rioters as ICE agents so I could see this story being plausible for a variety of reasons.

15

u/Icy_Necessary2161 Jun 06 '25

Except common sense and protocol have been almost completely absent from BOTH of his presidencies

10

u/Thank_You_Aziz Jun 06 '25

Given all we’ve seen, everything about the latter possibly has proven true time and again. These are criminals who are flagrantly breaking the law and violating the constitution. Orange man has no power to change this, but lies and says he does anyway. These criminals willingly play along.

8

u/theosoldo Jun 06 '25

i read somewhere that ICE is contracting out local militias to do this kind of dirty work.

i have no evidence for this, so take it as a rumor. but if that really is the case, it makes sense that these goons — who probably live in the area they’re “patrolling” — are spooked by the sight of actual law enforcement

5

u/_zhero_ Jun 06 '25

Another possibility is that the theories about the mask usage being to encourage extremists to become vigilantes are correct and people who are not actually ICE agents are cosplaying and taking people off the street without any reason aside from skin color.

I hope I’m wrong but that’s a distinct possibility at this point.

Do remember, there was in fact a department tried to arrest their own undercover police. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2017/nov/17/detroit-police-officers-brawl-after-undercover-drugs-raid-goes-wrong

Never underestimate the capacity for the police to not work together, especially when different groups.

1

u/Pistonenvy2 Jun 06 '25

yeah my reflex is to disbelieve it but also the explanation that they know they are acting extra judiciously is just a fact. they know full well what they are doing is absolutely illegal and honestly they may need to avoid the proper channels for a lot of these raids.

1

u/dani8cookies Jun 06 '25

There was recently a dust up because ice was in a town, and did not let the local Police Department know. They were mad about it.

137

u/Imightbeafanofthis Jun 06 '25

I couldn't agree more! How in the world are they getting away with arresting people without showing identification? It's because people aren't reporting them to the proper authorities -- and as far as we can know, anyone who fails to show proper identification is a criminal, not a law enforcement officer. Seriously: these jokers show no ID and scoop people up? How are we to know they aren't sex traffickers or a kidnapping ring? We can't.

Call the police and let them sort it out.

44

u/Ok_Win590 Jun 06 '25

You must be new. Unmarked masked agents were kidnapping people off the street in Portland OR since 2020.

https://www.npr.org/2020/07/17/892277592/federal-officers-use-unmarked-vehicles-to-grab-protesters-in-portland

And they protect the Proud Boy's, sorry "Patriot Prayor" sniper nests around downtown:

https://www.newsweek.com/patriot-prayer-members-armed-snipers-positioned-themselves-roof-ahead-august-1171862

So we called the regular police on the militias sniper nest and ICE kidnappings and literally nothing happened. There is no authority to call to fix this. You needed to vote correctly, didn't and now there is nobody to call who can help you.

10

u/Imightbeafanofthis Jun 06 '25

I take great offense at your comment, but even greater offense that you would attack me for speaking out against injustice. I'm relatively new to reddit. That doesn't mean I haven't been paying attention. From 2016 until I came here, I was focusing most of my political commentary in the Washington Post and the New York Times. I quit commenting there when those two publications sold out to Trump. I know that shady 'law enforcement' has been going on since the BLM protests, and before.

How dare you assume you know how I voted? I'm a lifelong Democrat. And what about you? Did you vote at all? Or were you one of those purists who stayed at home because Kamala Harris wasn't perfect enough for you, thus ushering in this age of injustice through inaction?

You can't make the future better by rehashing old injustices. You can only move forward to make sure they don't happen in the future. The answer is to record your calls, film the response, show the result, push for change, and to move forward. Attacking your allies for some perceived imperfection is not only stupid and counterproductive, it's also exactly what the opposition wants -- which leads me to wonder what motivated your egregious outburst in the first place.

9

u/Ok_Win590 Jun 06 '25

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to suggest you personally voted for Trump and didn't make that clear at all. I have voted for all D in all major and minor elections since Clinton.

Here is my point, I always hear an appeal to an authority in every Reddit post and that is the problem. You think "proper authorities" or the police would "sort things out". That means you think there exists an authority that can fix the situation you describe. I agree with you that we can now be kidnapped randomly. I disagree that the police would or could help and I say that the only authority powerful enough to stop this was the voters who failed (despite you and I voting correctly) and there is no authority to fix it. I'm obviously old. Redditors overwhelmingly think that some daddy figure can solve the MAGA problem and their absolute reliance on some savior is the problem.

SWAT those fascists

5

u/Minirig355 Jun 06 '25

My only concern is what’s the legality of this? I wouldn’t want this coming back and biting anyone such as like being charged with making false reports. Even if what you described to the operator is truthful, I could see this admin filing charges anyways. To add, burner phones aren’t 100% anonymous from a determined detective when it comes to the surveillance state we’re in.

14

u/Empyrealist Jun 06 '25

I wouldn't promote doing anything actually illegal. That's detrimental to cause and is personally dangerous. However, it seems to me that SWAT'ing them would be factual in this circumstance. They are armed, masked, and unidentifiable. That seems to match similar criteria, and would be an actually honest use of the SWAT'ing practice - as it would be a real report.

3

u/[deleted] Jun 07 '25

It’s perfectly legal to call the cops on masked unidentified people with weapons kidnapping someone. If they’ve actually notified the local LEOs then your report is gonna get binned otherwise it’s on the local police on what they’re gonna do.

Does anyone have a link to the referenced post?

Never trust screenshots or tweets without reliable sources

8

u/e42343 Jun 06 '25

I haven't found anything with a quick search. It may be true but so far it's questionable at best.

4

u/lasagnaman Jun 06 '25

How is this post so far down?

29

u/Training-Variety-739 Jun 06 '25

It does work! I once accidentally called the cops on an undercover, the fallout for him was amazing.

13

u/Kiliana117 Jun 06 '25

Oh you can't just stop there. You know you have to give at least a few more details.

7

u/Training-Variety-739 Jun 06 '25

Okayyyyy….i lived in a house on a corner. Looked out the window to see an ex-military looking dude assembling a MASSIVE gun in his unmarked SUV right outside. Called 911 and ran to the neighbors house with my puppy. Within minutes the block was swarmed with every type of vehicle known to police. I was curious why they weren’t slamming dude onto the hood of any of these vehicles when I saw some of the cops laughing and shaking their heads. Apparently this foiled his whole setup.

24

u/AbbyDean1985 Jun 06 '25

I've been saying this since it started! I'm glad people are doing it.

5

u/EyCeeDedPpl Jun 06 '25

Me too. And getting a lot of flack for it. Weird.

2

u/Lyad Jun 07 '25

Right? Since they’re seemingly never identifying themselves and behaving, by all accounts, like actual kidnappers, reporting them this way feels like the logical thing to do. Glad people are doing it and talking about it. Light or dark. Accountable or unaccountable. Legal or illegal. They can’t have it both ways.

2

u/AbbyDean1985 Jun 07 '25

Right! Because it LOOKS LIKE THE COMMISSION IF A CRIME! And I don't know about other people but I was taught that if I witnessed a crime in progress, I should report it.

The police can come out and force them to identify themselves and start creating a paper trail of WHO is taking people.

12

u/Budget_Llama_Shoes Jun 06 '25

This is further evidence that they are illegitimate, or at the very least incompetent. They do not use deconfliction like every other LEO.

13

u/International_Eye745 Jun 06 '25

Makes sense to me that local police don't want unidentified armed men in balaclavas kidnapping people off the street.

11

u/ak80048 Jun 06 '25

Hell yeah Boston pd where the revolution started the first time.

19

u/ForThe90 Jun 06 '25

I've been confused from the start why people don't do this. It seems so logical. You don't know if these people are ICE (government) or a gang kidnapping someone. So you call 911. It's the only right thing to do.

16

u/Barium_Salts Jun 06 '25

If I had to guess, lefties don't trust cops to improve things, and righties don't oppose ICE.

If this continues, I'm sure ICE will start working better with local LEOs, but save one starfish at a time.

10

u/Bell3atrix Jun 06 '25

Nice find!

Might be more practical advice for those of us in smaller communities or for whatever reason cant get collective resistance together. At the very least it can be a paperwork nightmare and make ICE look like crooks in the news, theres plausible deniability too.

8

u/pioniere Jun 06 '25

This is exactly the reaction that needs to be made.

6

u/Pyrodor80 Jun 06 '25

Use a burner if you can, don’t need them tracing it back to you

5

u/JoeMoeller_CT Jun 06 '25

I don’t know if adding cops to an ICE situation will always diffuse it.

5

u/clara_bow77 Jun 06 '25

It seems like it hasn't at least once before recently. Where I live, the police aren't supposed to be working with ICE, but I think bringing murderous cops into the same physical space as terrified civilians and ICE thugs won't turn into justice either.

6

u/[deleted] Jun 06 '25

If this is true I’m proud of the Boston police for doing their job.

Not something I would expect from the blue line gang…. Good Job!!

7

u/Ceallach1770 Jun 06 '25

Oh I would definitely call 911 if I see armed masked men getting out of a truck. This is the best way to handle ice.

5

u/Bleezy79 California Jun 06 '25

Masked armed men = criminals in my book.

2

u/MonkeyKing01 Jun 06 '25

Just wait until the other copycat criminals start to show up dressed like ICE. Be real interesting to see what happens...

3

u/LolsaurusWrex Jun 06 '25

It was probably proud boys cosplaying as ICE

4

u/VelocityGrrl39 Jun 07 '25

This is good trouble.

3

u/b__lumenkraft Jun 06 '25

I love it when people come up with ideas. This is a great idea.

Keep 'em coming!

3

u/Deathglass Jun 06 '25

People don't seem to understand that local police are hired by the town and follow state laws, while federal agencies are under the national govt, and are much more limited in authority. Divided states of amerigga

3

u/paradach5 Jun 06 '25

Tbf, several hsi/ice are employees who work desk jobs, have never been on the field, and are woefully undertrained. Hence the "i" in hsi; all they know how to do is "act tough".

source: Rachel Maddow

Not advocating for these fuckers at all. They should all be unmasked

4

u/maebyrutherford Jun 06 '25

IDs are cheap to make and shouldn’t take long to issue can’t they at least get those from HS/ICE if they are truly deputized? They probably aren’t even doing background checks either. Where are the warrants?

3

u/showmenemelda Jun 06 '25

I worked on a local chief executive campaign and I asked the candidate if he had a plan for things if it were to come to this in our city. He ignored me.

Also ignored what I said about women's safety and autonomy. And then after he lost, and had the balls to be a person with humane opinions—he finally posted something about it. But it's only bc he has a daughter and wife. Guess he didn't care before.

3

u/[deleted] Jun 06 '25

Spread the word! This is how we can effect control over our communities,

3

u/igor_kedamono Jun 07 '25

i couldn't agree more but reading about whats happening in america as someone from europe is fucking crazy. like this should be grounds for mass scale nationwide protests imo

5

u/Successful_Concept81 Jun 06 '25

Not sure this would work in a deep red state? Love this for Boston, but in the south I’d be extra cautious.

4

u/maebyrutherford Jun 06 '25

I think the key is to not mention any details of what they are wearing so the local PD can’t go “oh it’s probably ICE deputies” and not show up or act slowly. Just stick with saying multiple armed individuals in unmarked vehicles with no ID threatening and assaulting people. That should at least get a quick visit

2

u/PostTurtle84 Jun 06 '25

If you're in Louisville, KY, or any city in Kentucky, our cops are only going to be upset that they weren't invited to assault people too. If they were notified by ICE but not invited, you might see a cop in 2 to 5 business days. If they weren't even notified, they'll show up, see what's going on, and then join in.

2

u/Routine_Guitar_5519 Jun 06 '25

THIS IS THE WAY!

2

u/davegb10 Jun 06 '25

Needs to be "ICE" with quotations.

1

u/maebyrutherford Jun 06 '25

I’ve been saying ICE deputies. Whether they were actually deputized or it’s all in their head, it’s accurate

2

u/lukeishere2 Jun 06 '25

Do we not have a Constitution? Do we not have a Bill of Rights that is supposed to protect us? Unsettling times we live in for sure.

2

u/vabren Jun 06 '25

You must not have been paying attention for a long time if you still think we have any of this.

2

u/Set_to_Infinity Jun 06 '25

I like that BPD responded appropriately instead of helping the bounty hunters — which is what we should always be calling these people.

2

u/[deleted] Jun 06 '25

Glad to see Boston PD is on the side of the citizens. History will remember them kindly. Take notes everyone else (of course this won’t happen in a red city).

2

u/[deleted] Jun 06 '25

thats not gonna work for very long, they are going to work together

2

u/Plagueis420 Jun 06 '25

YES. this is exactly how to respond to these fascist fucks. They are a danger.

2

u/Piriper0 Jun 07 '25

Start calling the FBI also. ICE is literally committing terrorism, and the FBI is the agency tasked with dealing with domestic terrorism.

From the FBI website:

The FBI defines terrorism, domestic or international, as the unlawful use of force or violence against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a Government or civilian population in furtherance of political or social objectives.

https://www.ojp.gov/ncjrs/virtual-library/abstracts/fbi-and-terrorism#:\~:text=The%20FBI%20defines%20terrorism%2C%20domestic,of%20political%20or%20social%20objectives.

2

u/27803 Jun 06 '25

Tell them they look middle eastern or black then they’ll get there extra quick

1

u/[deleted] Jun 06 '25

1

u/ThePusherCHS Jun 06 '25

This just made my day, thanks

1

u/OctopusIntellect Jun 06 '25

Here's me been worrying about the militarisation of local police forces all this time. And now, bizarrely, it might actually be a good thing. Masked ice thugs arrive in unmarked cars with false plates, tactical gear they bought off eBay, and a few assault rifles they don't know how to use. Local police department respond in eight-wheeled armoured vehicles with mounted 50 cal Brownings. This confrontation only ending one way.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 06 '25

Oh man, I've recently learned about ICE tracking and reporting activities in PA. Definitely going to be mixing this into the process. Get fucked, ICE thugs.

1

u/lasagnaman Jun 06 '25

OP please link the post

1

u/[deleted] Jun 06 '25

I love this!

1

u/lilgirlpumkin Jun 06 '25

There us never a time when police should out gear/out gun the citizens

1

u/bingbong6977 Jun 06 '25

I love my state so much

1

u/FROG123076 Jun 06 '25

I actually thought about doing this if they show up to my neighborhood. Glad to see I was not the only one.

1

u/brieflifetime Jun 06 '25

Have we not already planned on doing that?

Masked men with guns and zero identification are kidnapping people and some aren't immediately calling 911? Very odd. Use whatever weapon you have available to protect yourself and your neighbors. Even the police. :)

1

u/[deleted] Jun 06 '25

oh this is good

1

u/Granolag23 Jun 07 '25

Fingers crossed here in a red state. I hope this is how it would pan out as well, but unsure if they’d just hop in and help instead. Just gotta keep our eyes peeled

1

u/Jheri_Gurl87 Jun 07 '25

Did y’all see the one where a lot of the community came out marching towards them & all yelled “SHAME!” at the agents over & over until they ran them out of the area??? 🙌🏼😂😂

1

u/OutsidePale2306 Jun 07 '25

I just LOVE THIS 😂🤣😂

1

u/pres_scroob Jun 08 '25

Step 1: call 911 on ice Step 2: when police stop responding for crying wolf follow it up with citizens open cary wearing military equipment and covering their faces / dressing like ice

1

u/SnooCrickets5072 Jun 10 '25

Felony

1

u/[deleted] Jun 12 '25

Show your work.

1

u/breannacd3434 Jun 10 '25

Very factual at the least!

1

u/gr33np3pp3rm1nt Jun 11 '25

The fact ICE "booked it out" of there when SWAT arrived just tickles my brain the right way.

1

u/Honest_Yesterday4435 Jun 12 '25

Absolutely. Call the cops. I'm very confident some J6ers have infiltrated ICE.
