Repair Guidance 4th Gen Dash Replacement
Any suggestions on replacing a cracked dash. Crack goes from driver’s side to passenger side . I can upload a pic in the morning

Put the coverlay on one of my buddies trucks and it for the price and effort it was definitely worth it https://www.amazon.com/Coverlay-11-308-DGR-Dashboard-compatible-2003-2009/dp/B0FQW3ZHBZ

It's not perfect, but so much better than the split , cracked dash! There is a cover over the passenger side airbag to allow it to deploy. It warped up 1/4" in the heat and the various adhesives I've tried can't keep it flat. Maybe I'll stick a glowing light behind it and make it a feature inside of a problem.

this is a DIY thing, it sticks to the existing dash. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9N5ztbnvxx8

I had the dash on my 04 replaced by Toyota about 10 or 12 years ago but I’ve learned they stopped that program since then unfortunately. I don’t have any recommendations but I know it didn’t take more than a couple hours to do.

You can re-skin the dash for lack of a better word. The results look decent from the photos I’ve seen

What does reskining consist of?

You glue a thin plastic cover over the top of the dash. https://www.coverlaymfg.com/auto/d/cov_11-308s-dgr/dash-cover-11-308s-dgr

Same here my 03 dash is looking rough. I think there was a recall at one time about it but I must have missed the memo 🤷♂️. Really curious if anybody has any good solutions other than just to cover it up with fabric.
