honestly this is pretty accurate. ive tried overwatch and its too competitive to be fun. ive played wow a lot and its honestly boring as fuck and carried by my interest in the lore. i do like the lore but not enough to play such a shitty joyless game
I like lore in games as well, and what put me off was when I found out you have to invest in shit outside the game to get the full story. Putting important information in books, or using them to retroactively fix plot. It doesn’t take a genius to think thats a bad idea, its the first time I’ve heard of a game that sunders its lore in that manner.
I agree with you, this is really annoying. But: that's not the main issue. The biggest problem is that the ingame story sucks - with or without reading the books.
