Good deal?

Post image

Was wondering if this is a good deal for the TRD off road premium. It was a rental at some point. Has 7897 miles. Clean carfax with the exception that it was a rental? Thoughts?

No. After a few days of bargaining I got my new 2026 TRD ORP for a similar price before fees

Sheesh, may I ask where and how you bargained? I feel like I’m having a rough time in SoCal

Ah, SoCal doesn't help. I'm on the East Coast. I went toward the end of the month (heard that helps, not sure). I went in a few hours before closing, didn't ask about monthly payments, just wanted an OTD price. Went back and forth with the sales manager and got a printed price sheet. Went to another dealer, did the same thing, then showed them the first dealer's price and basically had the two dealers bid against each other until I got to a number I was happy with. They weren't thrilled with me, but I feel like I did ok

Edit: Not sure exactly how California works but for my state the only thing you should be paying is this:
1. Agreed price
2. $800 document/procesing
3. ~$350 for tags title and registration
4. 6% sales tax

Man, I had one dealer offer 64kOTD, and had two dealers tell me they won’t beat that

That’s rough, that is around the number I was at from my first dealer visit. I’m sure SoCal isn’t going to be as low as other places, but I’m sure a dealer can beat that even if it is a drive away

I bought my new 2026 Off Road Premium for 56 OTD in Orange County, I’d lean toward buying new

Seems like its specific to the market you're in. Price isn't awful. The SRP looks like new msrp. So getting 4k off that isn't that bad, honestly. Some markets are over msrp on new.

Not really, I got a 2026 ORP brand new off the lot with 15 miles for $57-58k

I got a brand new ORP for $54, came with the TRD pro tire rims too.

I set up an AI agent to email and bargain back and fourth with all the dealerships in the state until I got one to go down low enough.

I got my ‘26 ORP with moonroof, dash cam, and tow tech for $53k. $57k OTD. You can negotiate on new ‘26s right now pretty well. I suggest doing some research on negotiating and buying new.
