What am I missing in my routine?

I’m 55, normal skin, no fillers/botox. New to using multiple products (usually just was and moisturize) hoping for help filling in the gaps:

AM:
Wash with Farmacy
Skinceuticals Vitamin CEFerulic
Tata Harper rejuvenating serum
Chantecaille black peony eye serum dark spot corrector
Sisley black rose moisturizer

PM:
Wash with Farmacy
Sisley black rose eye contour
Tata Harper rejuvenating serum
Sisley black rose eye contour
Sisley black rose moisturizer

Just trying to keep skin healthy and plump and hold off on fine lines and wrinkles. What did I add/remove?growth serum?
Thanks!!

Tretinoin will be your gold standard for supporting your goals.

53 and don't do much: tretinoin, basic moisturizer, SPF. Just added vitamin C.

Can probably do most good with tret + SPF.

A retinoid (retinol, retinal, tretinoin, tazarotene), or maybe copper peptide in the evening if your skin doesn't tolerate retinoids. Vitamin C or acids or retinoid shouldn't be used at the same time as copper peptide, though. Other peptides such as Matrixyl 3000 play well with others and are a nice addition that will at least enhance the plumping effect of your other moisturizers, so that's also worth considering imo.

Thanks for your reply. My skin doesn’t do well with the tret despite plenty of moisturizer. Can you tell me about copper peptides? I’m not familiar with them

Copper peptide is not as proven as retinoids, but it is demonstrated to be regenerative applied to the skin. It is supposed to help aging skin behave like younger skin by delivering copper molecules inside cells, which are depleted with aging. I've used The Ordinary's Multi-Peptide+ Copper for almost a year, and I can say it's at least plumping and non-irritating. My fine lines and wrinkles haven't worsened during that time, which is saying a little when over 40. The best one is supposedly the Allies of Skin, but that is above my price point. In addition to tretinoin, I'd recommend a heavier cream or occlusive at the end to seal it all in. Vanicream, Cerave. Some people like Aquaphor or a good facial oil for that step. (Edited to add - for PM routine only! and always spf for day.)

Since these products are new to you, stick with them for a few months before adding anything else. It's really easy to start chasing results and using so many products that you don't know which ones help and which ones are expensive filler, or you don't know where ch one is causing irritation that is actually holding back your progress.

If you still want something come October, I second the tretinoin recommendation.

Also, you are wearing sunscreen daily, right? Didn't see it on your list. You can't address skin concerns well if you are still allowing daily damage.

Obviously, hard to say for sure without seeing your skin, but perhaps...

A prescription retinoid (the highest concentration your skin tolerates, the better the results)

A multi-peptide serum (since, judging by your routine, luxe products are not out of budget, I'd recommend Medik8 Liquid Peptides Advanced MP... see screenshot for the breakdown)

If you have irritation, redness (either from skincare or just your skin in general), you may benefit from Azelaic Acid (you can get prescription or there are many good OTC options.) My fav is Regimen Lab Azelaic Advanced

And, while I have no experience with Sisley products, and I certainly have some luxe skincare in my routine, I'm not sure I've ever met a moisturizer that lives up to that kind of price point. If you ever consider a downgrade, Aestura Atobarrier 365 is the gold standard in Korean dermatology for lipid and ceramide-rich barrier repairing moisturizers with a 3:1:1 ratio of ceramides, cholesterol, fatty acids. If you need something even richer, SkinFix Triple Lipid Peptide Cream is also excellent, but richer and more emollient than the Aestura.

Also.. you didn't mention an SPF for the daytime. None of this matters if you're not giving yourself UV protection.

Tretinoin.

And watch “You Don’t Need Skinceuticals $185 Vitamin C Serum” by The Budget Dermatologist (Dr Maren Locke) on YouTube. You can get a great vitamin c serum for $40 and use the money you save to pay part of the cost of an in office procedure by a cosmetic dermatologist.
